Music WordPress

The tour is the page on your site that goes stale first

You announce the dates, tickets for one city sell out, another changes status, and the site keeps showing a buy button that now leads nowhere. Someone arriving from one of your posts clicks it and runs straight into the problem.

An artist's biography lasts for years. The concert calendar expires date by date, and the more your career moves, the more work it asks for. What is worth checking in a music theme is how much it takes to keep that page current, before the design of the front page.

Musico, by ThemeGoods, is a WordPress theme for artists, singers, producers and bands. In it, each date accepts a ticket purchase link and a status you change when needed, with five layouts for showing upcoming tours.

Dates, records and a shop on the same site

• Tours: 5 layouts for upcoming dates, with a purchase link and status.
• Discography: more than 8 styles, and fans listen to the record from the discography page itself.
• A music player built into the theme, with page templates for it.
• Shop: WooCommerce integration for selling to your fans, with variation products.
• Video and gallery: 11 layouts, with your own content or from YouTube.

Home pages and templates by type of artist

The 8 home pages start from specific profiles: female artist, R&B singer, male artist, alternative rock band, country artist, solo singer, dance DJ and indie artist. They import with one click.

• More than 70 predesigned templates for pages, discography, albums, the player and galleries.
• More than 40 page templates importable from Elementor.
• 20 slider layouts, where each slide links to any page, for example the discography.
• 8 blog templates for posts with an image, gallery, YouTube or Vimeo.
• Several menu layouts, with a mega menu and one-page navigation.

Colors, backgrounds and typography are adjusted in the Customizer with live preview, with more than 500 Google Fonts. Galleries can be protected with a password, right-click and image-drag blocking, and watermarks.

The pieces that depend on others

The theme links to ticket sales: the sale happens wherever that link points, and its features do not include a box office of its own. The shop runs on the WooCommerce plugin. The newsletter goes through MailChimp and the forms through Contact Form 7.

The client login in the menu calls for one more plugin, ZM Ajax Login & Register, along with the Show Client Icon option. It is also compatible with WPML, bbPress, Yoast SEO, W3 Total Cache and WP Super Cache.

Preparing the server and publishing the first tour

For the demo import, these PHP values are recommended: max_execution_time 180, memory_limit 128M, post_max_size 32M and upload_max_filesize 64M. If you will not use the importer, you can skip them.

1. Install the theme and activate the required plugins.
2. Open Theme Setting and then Import Demo, and check the server status.
3. Choose the home page closest to your profile and click import only once.
4. Wait for the confirmation message, which can take a few minutes.
5. Replace the sample content and publish your upcoming dates with their ticket link.

The import does not delete or change the posts, pages or images you already have.

Themes and plugins for other music projects

If your priority is music that does not stop while browsing, Kentha brings a continuous player and a booking form. For a label or a venue, Vice is designed for bands, venues, radio stations and labels.

If you are organizing an event more than a career, Muzicon targets concerts and festivals. And if you already have a theme and only lack the player, MP3 Audio Player Pro adds players with a sticky bar and continuous playback.
