About Ncare – NDIS Disability Service WordPress Theme

Under the NDIS, the money goes to the person and your site has to win them

Someone reaches a disability support provider's website not yet knowing whether they qualify for help, how to apply or what they can do if their current provider is not working out. A list of services with good photos answers none of that.

The NDIS, Australia's national scheme for people with disability, funds individuals directly rather than handing funds to organisations. That choice changes the site's job: the website of a provider has to explain the system before selling the service, because the visitor has questions about their own case.

Ncare is a WordPress theme built for these services, and its demos reflect that. They include sections such as how the NDIS works, am I eligible and how do I apply, plus a three-step complaint process for anyone unhappy with their provider. They are the framework: you write the real content.

Blocks and pages for explaining your service

  • Elementor and Bootstrap 5 as the base, with more than 80 custom Elementor widgets.
  • More than 3 headers and more than 3 footers.
  • One-click demo import.
  • Multilingual and RTL-ready, with colour and typography options.
  • SEO optimisation and AMP, Contact Form 7 compatibility and the option of using a child theme.

The demos show about, team, individual team member, gallery, FAQ, project, blog and contact pages, plus a shop with product pages. The sample services cover supported employment, community nursing, transport, domestic help and housing.

Outside Australia, the text changes and the structure stays

Ncare is also offered for retirement care homes, senior accommodation and assisted living services. In that case, the design and pages work just the same, but the demo text talks about the NDIS and providers in Sydney. Those blocks cannot be left as they are.

Appointments, eligibility and participants stay outside the theme

  • Its features do not include bookings or appointments. The free consultation button in the demos leads to the contact page.
  • Its features do not include an eligibility check. In the demos, the how it works, am I eligible and how do I apply steps are titles with no real content or form behind them.
  • Its features do not include participant or plan management. It is a presentation theme, not a service management system.
  • It is not optimised for Gutenberg. Pages are built with Elementor.

To book visits you will need a separate plugin.

Installing Ncare without losing what you already have

Start from WordPress 6.2 or later, MySQL 5.6 or MariaDB 10.0 or later and a memory limit of at least 128 MB, with PHP 7.3 or later and max_input_vars at 3000 as recommended values. The theme prompts for its plugins on activation, including TP Core, which provides the Elementor widgets, and One-Click Import for the import.

  1. Under Appearance, Themes, upload the Ncare .zip file. If you upload the package with all the files, you will see a style.css error.
  2. Activate the theme and install the required plugins from Appearance, Install Plugins.
  3. Run the import only on a fresh site, because it replaces existing menus, settings and other data.
  4. Under Appearance, Import Demo Data, choose a demo and import it.
  5. Save the permalinks in Settings and begin with the eligibility and application pages.

Other care themes worth comparing

Giver is aimed at care homes and senior care services, also with Elementor. Seniorsy is an Elementor template kit, with no visit bookings or online appointments.

If online appointments are the main thing, Brivona is compatible with the Trubooker plugin, which comes separately, and is designed for clinics and practices.

Other uses, shop and import in Ncare

Is it only for NDIS providers?

No. It is also offered for care homes, senior accommodation and assisted living, although you will have to redo the sample text.

Can I sell products?

The demos include a shop, with a listing, product pages and a wishlist. It is compatible with WooCommerce.

Can I import the demo on a site that is already running?

Better not. The one-click import replaces existing data. If you already have content, use the manual import and do it on a copy.
