Popup, in-post form or bar: choose the format
- Popup: you control when it shows and adjust its color to your style. It is the most visible format and the one that interrupts the most.
- Form at the end of posts: it offers the subscription right after reading, when the reader has already seen that your content is useful.
- Top bar: it can also be placed at the bottom of the screen. It is the discreet option for those who don't want to cover the content.
If your blog lives off readers who land on a single article, the form at the end of the post is usually a good starting point, and you can add the bar without bothering anyone.
Setup without shortcodes or building forms from scratch
You don't have to design a form field by field or paste shortcodes around the site. You choose what you want to control (look, timing, format) and you're done. Several presets are available to get started quickly and then adapt them to your site's colors.
This suits people who write and don't want to become designers. If you want to lay out forms with very particular fields, you will need another tool.
Newsletter Leads Addon doesn't send emails on its own
It is an add-on for the Newsletter plugin: it captures subscribers, but the rest of the email system depends on that base plugin. Without it, there is nowhere to store the people who sign up.
- The addon solves: popup, form at the end of posts and top or bottom bar, with control over when they appear and how they look.
- You cover with the Newsletter plugin: list management, and writing and sending your newsletters.
- You cover yourself: the copy that convinces people to subscribe, what you offer in return, and the privacy notice that applies in your case.
Keep in mind that a poorly tuned popup can spoil the reading experience. Test it on mobile before leaving it active.
