About Nouveau
One site that shows work, tells stories and sells
Someone buying a multipurpose theme rarely has just one business: a photographer who also sells prints, an agency with a blog, a fashion studio with a shop. The problem is not finding a pretty design, but preventing the portfolio, blog and shop from looking like three different websites glued together. Nouveau is designed for that case: the same headers, menus and typefaces serve every section.
And there is something almost nobody considers when choosing: on a creative site, navigation is part of the product. If the menu gets in the way of the photo, visitors leave before seeing the work.
Headers, menus and transitions in Nouveau
This is where the theme's real room for customization lies:
- Unlimited headers and title areas
- Customizable mega menu, side menu and a left-menu version
- Fixed or sticky header, with one logo version for the normal state and another for the sticky state.
- Expandable search field and sticky content menu.
- AJAX page transitions, a parallax image or video slider and sections with a video background.
The footer is also customizable, and there are more than 600 Google Fonts and the Font Awesome icons to fine-tune the style. It works just as well for a colorful site as for a sober black and white design.
Three buyers, three different uses of Nouveau
Photographer or creative studio
What matters is how the work is presented. The theme includes several list and single page layouts for portfolios, a carousel, custom post formats and retina-ready support.
Agency or modern business
Pages are built with WPBakery Page Builder, which is included, along with more than 30 custom shortcodes and interactive infographics. If you need a contact form, there is integration with Contact Form 7, and with WPML if the site is multilingual (the theme is also ready to translate with po and mo files).
Small shop or personal blog
The WooCommerce integration lets you add a catalog without switching themes. The blog offers several list and single post layouts, including a masonry one.
Starting from a demo instead of a blank page
Nouveau comes with two example layouts: one with the header at the top and another with a left menu. The demo content imports with one click, so you can see how each block is built before replacing it with your own. If you are going to modify templates, the theme is ready to use a child theme so your changes are not overwritten.

Is it suitable for a full online store?
It has WooCommerce integration, so you can sell. But its strength is creative design; if your business is only the shop, check in the demo how product pages and the cart look.
Can I run the site in several languages?
Yes, with the WPML plugin, which it integrates with. The theme also includes translation files.
How many headers can I combine?
The header and title area combinations are unlimited.
The demo photos are not included for you to use
The images you see in the demos are only there to present the theme. For your website you need your own photos or a license bought from a stock image site. Also, WooCommerce, Contact Form 7 and WPML are integrations: if you want them, they are installed separately. And since the page builder is WPBakery Page Builder, your pages are built with it.
