Many travel blogs start with enthusiasm and end up with a home page that only shows the latest post, large photos that don't fit on mobile, and color or font changes that end up in code. Ofelia is a theme designed to avoid that on personal, travel, lifestyle, food, fashion or photography blogs.
On a travel blog, the archive is the asset
A post from two years ago can still be your readers' way in. That's why the home page shouldn't be a plain chronological feed: it should organize and show your archive on purpose. Ofelia offers more than 20 blog layout variations so you can decide how your stories are presented: which ones get a big photo, which go in a list and which are grouped in a grid.
Ofelia step by step: from the imported demo to your first published story
Imagine you're launching a blog about your road trips. This is how it would go:
- You pick a demo. There are more than 20 pre-built demos and the sample content imports with one click. It works with the Gutenberg editor without third-party plugins for layout, which helps it load fast. Limit: what you import is sample text and images that you'll have to replace with your own.
- You set your identity. In the customization panel you upload your logo, change colors, headers and fonts (more than 700 Google Fonts) and add social media icons. You can choose between three header layouts, normal or sticky.
- You decide how your posts look. There are five post block layouts: grid with background image, list (left, right or zigzag) and Metro, plus classic grids from 1 to 5 columns.
- You build the page. You can copy elements from one demo to another, combine them and insert banner ads until you get the home page you want.
- You finish the sides. The footer and sidebar support widgets, and there's an Instagram feed, a back-to-top button, a full-width page template and variations for the top of the single post.
- You add contact and language. It's compatible with Contact Form 7, but you build the form with that plugin, which is installed separately. It comes with a .pot file to translate the theme into your language and a child theme included for your own tweaks.

Do I need a page builder?
No. Ofelia is optimized for Gutenberg and doesn't ask for third-party plugins for layout.
Is it only for travel?
No. It also suits personal, lifestyle, food, fashion and photography blogs.
Can I use it with bookings or online sales?
Ofelia is a blog theme: its features revolve around publishing and displaying posts. If you need bookings or sales, you'll have to solve that with another plugin and check in the demo that it fits your design.
Can it be translated?
Yes, it includes a .pot file to translate it into your language. You do the translation with the tool you prefer.
