Setting up an online academy often starts with enthusiasm and ends in a site that mixes a blog, a shopping cart and a student area that look nothing alike. And the real problem is something else: getting an enrolment is the easy part, getting the student to the end is hard, and someone who doesn't finish doesn't recommend you. An education theme is only worth it if it helps sustain that whole journey, not just make the homepage look good.
Onekorse is a responsive theme designed for academies, schools, online courses, tutors, mentors, speakers and trainers. It comes with teacher and student logins, a quiz system, certifications and Zoom integration, and it is compatible with Elementor, WPML and LearnPress.
From launch to a visible academy: the demo, the sliders and the form
The first step is having something to show. Onekorse lets you import the demo content with one click through the Unyson importer, so your site starts with the same look as the demo and you only have to change texts and images. It is faster than building every page from scratch, but keep in mind that you depend on that plugin for the import.
- Slider Revolution: the theme is compatible with this plugin, useful for showing text, images and video with transition effects and animations. It is a separate plugin, not something that simply comes included.
- Contact Form 7: it works for the contact form, with an editable template. It is another free plugin you will have to install.
- Elementor: it is compatible with this page builder.
Common questions before choosing Onekorse
Does it work for a small school or an independent teacher?
Yes, it is designed for tutors, mentors and trainers, as well as schools and universities. For a single teacher, a short catalogue is enough.
Can I sell courses in other languages or currencies?
It is compatible with WPML for multilingual sites and with WooCommerce, which allows charging in several currencies once configured.
Are the courses managed with LearnPress?
The theme is compatible with LearnPress. Check in the demo which part of the courses, quizzes and certificates is displayed and configured with that plugin, so you know what you will need to install.
Can I sell things that aren't courses?
With WooCommerce you can sell products, but the theme's focus is education.
Publishing the courses and deciding who enters as teacher or student
With the structure ready, it is time to load the classes. The theme is compatible with LearnPress and comes with logins for teachers and students.
One limit to keep in mind: a theme provides the look and structure of the site, but the logic of a campus (enrolments, progress, lesson-based content) depends on the course plugin being installed and properly configured. Don't expect everything to work just by activating the theme.
Charging with WooCommerce and making it easy for students to come back
To sell, Onekorse is compatible with WooCommerce and, depending on how you set it up, lets you charge in several currencies. It also supports YITH WooCommerce Wishlist.
WooCommerce and the wishlist are independent plugins that you must install and adjust, including the payment gateways and taxes for your country.
Zoom classes, quizzes and certificates: what keeps the student going
This is where Onekorse's core value for an academy lies: it comes with Zoom integration, a quiz system and certifications.
Check in the demo how Zoom sessions are configured, which question types the quizzes allow and how the certificate is generated, to confirm they cover your case before committing to a course format.
