A show that already happened is a dead page
A theater sells something with an expiration date: every performance disappears when the curtain falls, and a website that is not renewed ends up full of plays that no longer exist while the audience is looking for something to see this weekend. Whoever installs OsTende needs above all a website that can keep pace with a constantly changing program.
The demo home page shows featured shows with their dates, a block of this week's events and a link to the calendar. Visitors see at a glance what is on stage without opening play after play.
OsTende separates shows, events, season tickets and venue rental
The theme is designed for theatrical activities and organizes the menu with the pieces a theater needs:
- Shows and Events: two separate sections, one for the plays in the program and another for one-off events, each with its own page and a "more information" link.
- Season Tickets: a dedicated page for season passes.
- Rental Info: a section to explain how the space can be rented. If your theater does not rent out its hall, you do not have to use it.
- Our Courses: to present the theater's acting courses or workshops.
- Gallery, FAQ and blog: the blog supports several listing formats (classic, two or three columns, and chess style), and there is a portfolio in several columns.
One important limit: what the demo shows are information pages and the box office hours, not a purchase process. If you need to sell tickets online or let people choose their seats, check in the demo whether anything like that exists; if not, you will have to rely on an external ticketing system and link to it from each show.

Is it suitable for a small company without its own venue?
Yes. The sections for shows, cast, gallery and blog work without needing a building. The rental section is the only one meant for people who manage a space.
Does it sell tickets?
What the demo shows is information about each show and the box office hours. To charge for tickets online, plan on a separate tool.
Can I introduce the cast?
Yes, the home page includes a block with the actors and actresses, with their name and their role in the company.
Does it include audience reviews?
The demo shows a block of reviews with the author's name and the date. Use it only with real comments from your audience: inventing reviews deceives spectators and, depending on the country, can be illegal.
The cast, the reviews and the blog give the program a face
A play announced only with a date and a title competes poorly with the one next door. OsTende leaves room for what convinces people who hesitate: who is performing, what the audience that already attended said and what happens behind the scenes. The demo handles this with a block of actors, another of reviews and a blog with news and updates.
There is also a prompt to join the newsletter and receive discounts and promotions, a good way to gather your loyal audience. That form needs you to connect it to your email service.
Replace the sample box office details before publishing
The demo comes with made-up data that must not reach your website: an address in Bellingham, office, administration and fax numbers, a sample email and box office hours with their own rules (Monday to Friday until showtime, closing at 6:00 PM if there is no show, opening two hours before showtime on weekends). Replace them with your own.
Do the same with the sample shows, as well as with the testimonials and the cast. Review the contact page and the footer, because those are the places where a false detail costs the most: someone will call that phone number.
