About Oxpitan – Nonprofit Charity WordPress Theme

When only the person who built the NGO website knows how to edit it

At an association or foundation, the website is usually built by a volunteer or an agency at a friendly rate, and months later nobody remembers how to change a campaign banner. Meanwhile, someone arriving from a social media post decides very quickly whether they understand the cause and know how to help. Oxpitan is a theme designed for charities, NGOs, fundraising, churches and mosques, and its greatest strength is that anyone on the team can pick the site back up without depending on a developer.

Elementor and Revolution Slider for whoever inherits the site

Oxpitan comes with Elementor as its visual editor, so texts, sections and homepages are changed by dragging blocks. It also includes Revolution Slider, handy for a full-screen homepage showing the active campaign. There are two homepage styles and a one-click demo import: you load the sample content and replace it with your own instead of starting from a blank page.

The design is responsive, and colors and typography (Google Fonts or standard fonts) are adjusted from the theme panel, which is built on Redux. It is child theme compatible, so you can modify templates without touching the original files.

Online donations need the Give plugin

This is the expectation that disappoints most buyers: Oxpitan integrates with Give, but the donation form, payments and receipts are handled by that plugin, not by the theme. A realistic split:

  • The theme handles: the site design, the homepage and page templates, editing with Elementor, Revolution Slider and the demo import.
  • You cover with another plugin: Give for receiving donations, WooCommerce for a shop, WPML for multiple languages, Contact Form 7 for forms and MailChimp for WP for the newsletter.
  • You or a professional handle: the text of each campaign, the photos, setting up the payment gateway and reviewing the tax and data protection obligations of donations with your accountant.

Projects, volunteers and a charity shop with Oxpitan

To show where the money goes, which is what a donor looks at before giving, the theme offers a portfolio with a filter and a carousel: it works for organizing projects by line of work or by country. If you sell merchandise, it includes a shop setup and products for WooCommerce. And to recruit volunteers, a Contact Form 7 form is enough, as it is one of the integrations the theme works with.

If your site will be in more than one language, the theme is compatible with WPML and supports .pot files for your own translations. You will have to write the text for each language yourself.

Common questions before choosing Oxpitan

Is it suitable for a church or a mosque?

Yes, it is designed for charities, NGOs, foundations, churches and mosques, among others. You will need to adapt the content and images to your community.

Can I receive donations without installing anything else?

No. To collect donations you need the Give plugin or another payment system. Oxpitan provides the design and the integration with Give.

Is it optimized for Gutenberg?

No. The theme is built around Elementor, so the convenient way to lay out pages is with that editor.

Do I have to buy Revolution Slider separately?

No, it comes included with the theme.
