About Pangja – Print Shop WordPress theme
A print shop sells a price that depends on ten variables
A thousand cards printed one side do not cost the same as two sides, nor on 300gsm versus 350, nor with a matt finish. A print catalogue with fixed prices does not exist: either you request a quote by phone, or the price gets calculated.
Pangja is a WordPress theme for print shops and printing services, and its most useful part is exactly that: price calculation by sides and by elements of the job.
What it brings
- Price by sides and by elements, which is what makes a genuine print catalogue possible.
- A shop with WooCommerce, with catalogue, cart and payment.
- Compatible with product designers, so the customer builds their piece in the browser.
- Six homepages, six headers and four footers, with a mega menu and sticky header.
- The WPBakery visual builder, with Contact Form 7 and a newsletter popup included.
The online designer is not included
It is the commonest confusion with this kind of theme. Pangja is compatible with product design plugins, but the editor where the customer places their logo and picks the typeface is a separate product that has to be bought. The theme supplies the presentation and the calculation, not the canvas.
And the real problem of an online print shop
The files customers send. Almost none arrive correct, and the problem gets discovered while preparing the job, not on receiving it: images at 72 dots per inch that print blurred, screen colour instead of four-colour process, no bleed, typefaces not converted to outlines, text sitting on the edge.
No theme fixes that, and it is where a print shop's margin goes, between back-and-forth emails and reprints. Worth building the shop with that in mind: stating the requirements on the product page itself, offering downloadable templates with the dimensions and bleed already set, and making clear in the terms who bears the cost when the supplied file did not comply.
