About Paradise – Multipurpose Beauty & Spa, Haircut, Nail, Tattoo WordPress Theme

The free appointment is the one that costs a salon most

Someone books a massage on the website and does not show up. The hour stays empty, the therapist waits, and whoever would have taken that slot has already found a place elsewhere. Booking cost that person nothing, so missing it cost nothing either.

An empty slot cannot be saved for tomorrow, and what turns an intention into a commitment is having money involved. That is why, in a business living on appointments, the useful question about a theme is how it charges, more than how the home page looks.

Paradise, by jwsthemes, is a WordPress theme for massage, nail, tattoo, barber, hair and spa businesses. It joins the Booked plugin for appointments with WooCommerce for payments, and leaves it to you to decide which services are paid at booking.

Booked and WooCommerce: appointments you can charge for

  • Booked to schedule appointments and events from a calendar.
  • Payments with WooCommerce, to charge for the appointment through the shop.
  • Agents on the public side of the site (Front-End Agents), meant for the people handling appointments.
  • Calendar feeds (Calendar Feeds), to take appointments to an external calendar.
  • Full WooCommerce, also useful for selling salon products, with quick view through YITH WooCommerce Quick View.

Before opening bookings, test on your install how payment works with a real service, what the customer pays and when, and what happens if she cancels.

What the theme brings beneath the calendar

  • Responsive, retina-ready design based on Bootstrap.
  • Boxed or full-width layout.
  • Several home pages and five header styles, with a sticky header you can turn on or off.
  • Unlimited colors and fonts, plus a field for your own CSS.
  • Footer of one to four columns and unlimited sidebars, by site or by page.
  • Several layouts for services, pricing and contact.
  • WPBakery Page Builder, Revolution Slider and Contact Form 7 as compatible pieces.
  • Child theme and Paradise Core plugin included.
  • One-click demo import.

What advance payment does not fix, and other limits

The cancellation policy is yours. Charging at booking raises questions no theme answers: until when money is refunded and what happens if you are the one who cancels. It is worth publishing that clearly before asking for a single payment.

Charging can also slow bookings. A quick low-cost appointment and a tattoo lasting several hours do not carry the same risk, so it pays to decide service by service.

You work with WPBakery. Elementor is not among its compatibilities, something to keep in mind if your team already uses that builder.

It comes in English. It includes PO files for translating with plugins such as Loco Translate, and it is compatible with WPML if you want a multilingual site.

Mixing trades has an image cost. Colors and fonts change quickly, but a spa and a tattoo studio call for different photography and tone, and no theme option provides that.

Paradise Core, Booked and the first paid booking

The theme installs with Paradise Core, and appointments and payments come with Booked and WooCommerce. This is a reasonable order:

  1. Install the theme, Paradise Core and the child theme, the place to keep your changes.
  2. Import the demo and choose the home page closest to your trade.
  3. Set up the appointments in Booked and connect payment through WooCommerce.
  4. Run a complete test booking, including a cancellation, before announcing it.

Calendars and themes that solve this another way

Nelson is a theme for barbershops, hair salons and tattoo studios that handles appointments with QuickCal, with per-person calendars and payment through WooCommerce.

If you would rather keep your theme and add only the calendar, Amelia organizes services with their own price and duration and several professionals with their schedules, and BookingPress Pro lets customers book service, professional, day and time in a single flow.
