About PDF Invoices and Packing Slips Templates
The invoice is the only thing of yours that reaches your customer's accounting department
The one who receives the PDF invoice is not only the buyer, it can also be their bookkeeper or accountant.
PDF Invoices and Packing Slips Templates adds two templates to the free WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips plugin, plus a customizer to decide which columns and totals appear. It is a design add-on: without the free plugin installed, it does nothing.
Modern with thumbnails or Business with VAT broken out
Modern adds three columns in the footer for company and bank details, and shows a thumbnail of each product in the item list. It stands out from a classic invoice.
Business puts two extra columns in the header for company and bank details. By default it shows prices excluding VAT, displays the VAT percentage for each product and splits the different tax classes in the totals. It is designed to detail prices and taxes as fully as possible; if your country requires specific wording on invoices, check with your accountant that the result covers it.
Columns and totals you can move with the mouse
Both templates can be used as they are or adjusted with the drag and drop customizer. You choose which columns go in the item list, for example:
- Position, SKU, thumbnail, product name and description (short or full).
- Quantity, item variation or meta, product attributes and custom fields.
- Price including or excluding tax, single or total, before or after discount, plus regular price and discount.
- VAT, tax rate, weight, checkbox and static text.
In the totals you can show subtotal, discount, shipping, fees, taxes, grand total (including or excluding tax) and the total weight of the order. The same customizer works with the documents of the Professional extension, such as proforma invoices or credit notes.
Are these templates enough, or do you also need the Professional extension?
These templates change the look and content of the documents, nothing more. They do not create credit notes, proforma invoices or receipts: that comes from the Professional extension by the same developer, with which you could use this same customizer. Nor do they replace the free plugin.
Does it work without the free plugin?
No. They are templates for WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips and need that plugin to be active.
How many templates does it include?
Two: Modern and Business.
Can I show prices including VAT?
Yes. The price columns and the totals support versions with or without tax. Business starts from prices excluding VAT, but you can change that in the customizer.
Do they work for the packing slip as well as the invoice?
The templates apply to invoices and packing slips. Check in the demo how the packing slip looks with the columns you need, for example thumbnail and SKU.
