About Personalus – Web Designer Multipurpose Creative WordPress Elementor Theme WordPress Theme
You are one person with several crafts, not an agency with a team
An independent designer, photographer or video editor often has a website that shows work but does not say who is behind it. And clients hire a person before they hire a portfolio. Personalus is built for that case: a personal website with an introduction, services, portfolio, testimonials and contact.
There is a trap worth knowing about. The demo puts photography, video editing, web design and graphic design on the same page, and visitors tend to conclude that you do not specialize in anything. If you do several things, put them in order and make one of them the lead.
- If you need an online store or a booking system, check in the demo first whether what you need fits.
- If you are a company with several teams, the approach will fall short: the demo is written for a single person.
What you find on the Personalus home page
The home page works as a short walk-through: who you are, what you do, what you have done and how to reach you. That is the sequence a client follows when they find you for the first time.
- Introduction by discipline: three blocks with a title, a short text and a read-more button, so each specialty can lead to its own page.
- Services in short blocks: each service is summed up in one sentence, so what you offer is clear at a glance.
- Portfolio: a section devoted to showing your work.
- Call to action: a block with a button to start a project with you.
Testimonials and contact details: what people check before writing to you
Before asking for a quote, many people look for two things: what other clients say and how to reach you. The demo covers both with testimonials that include the name and role of the person speaking, and a contact block with address, phone numbers, emails and chat.
The demo also includes a block of figures (clients, projects, awards, experience). Fill it in only with numbers you can stand behind; if you do not have them yet, remove it, because an inflated figure costs more than it gains.
How to keep your Personalus from looking like the demo
The demo is full of placeholder text, sample names and sample details, and it mixes topics that are probably not yours. Before publishing, replace every text with your own, change the photos and check that the email and phone number are real. The sections in English, such as the project start button, also need translating.
A good starting point: first write three sentences about what you do better than anyone else and use them as the headlines of the services blocks.
Common questions about Personalus
Does it work if I only do photography?
Yes, and it is the simplest case: the demo already has photography and portrait texts. You only need to remove the blocks for other disciplines.
Can I use it for an agency?
You can, but it is designed for one person. With a large team you will lack room to introduce each member; check in the demo whether what you need fits.
Do I need to know how to code?
You will need good judgment to choose photos and write your own texts, which is what really makes a personal website work.
