About Pie Register Premium
For sites that control who gets in, not for anyone looking for a contact form
Opening user registration usually ends the same way: fake accounts, bots signing up at all hours and a user base nobody reviewed. The more closed your site is (a volunteer area, a club, a client area), the more each unwanted sign-up costs you. Pie Register Premium is built for that problem: controlling who registers and with what data.
If you are after a contact or survey form, this is not it: here the form exists to sign up users. And if you plan to charge at registration, keep in mind that standard PayPal is included, but Stripe and Authorize.net are separate add-ons from the premium collection.
The Pie Register Premium builder: drag-and-drop fields, no code
You put the form together by dragging fields and seeing how it looks. There are more than 30 types to choose from: from the basics (address, phone) to the ones that tend to be troublesome, such as profile picture, file upload or acceptance of terms and conditions. It works just as well for a two-field sign-up as for a long flow with several steps of data.
The plugin also covers custom login, a frontend user profile, conditional logic, registration moderation and two-factor authentication.
Invitation codes with expiry dates for restricted-access sites
You can send the invitation emails from within the plugin to the people you want to see on your site, and set up several codes, each with its own expiration date. That way registration is not left open forever and you decide who is in your user base, not the first person who finds the form.
It is useful when access is truly by invitation: members, collaborators, volunteers, specific clients. If your site needs public, high-volume registration, invitations will get in your way more than they help.
Anti-spam on fields, and blocking by IP, domain or username
To stop bots and trolls you have three defenses you can combine depending on the form:
- ReCaptcha.
- Math Captcha.
- Honey Pot.
You can also block by IP addresses, subnets, domains, email addresses and even username patterns. That way, anyone who has already caused you problems cannot come back with a similar account.
Charging at sign-up: PayPal built in, the rest through add-ons
Pie Register Premium lets you charge the user at the moment of registration, which is handy for membership fees or paid access. With standard PayPal you need nothing else; for Stripe or Authorize.net you will have to add the corresponding add-on. Custom email notifications keep the user informed about the payment and other account activity.
Questions to settle before installing Pie Register Premium
Do I need to know how to code?
No. The form is built by dragging fields. If you want to change very specific design details, check in the demo whether what you see is enough.
Can I charge with Stripe without adding anything?
No: Stripe and Authorize.net are installed as add-ons. Standard PayPal is available directly.
Can I make invitations stop being valid?
Yes, each code can have an expiration date and you can create several at once.
