About Pixate – Movie Studio WordPress theme WordPress Theme
Pixate: a video studio website with a separate way in for each type of client
An audiovisual studio loses jobs over something very simple: the band looking for a music video, the organizer of a live event and the brand that wants a commercial all land on the same home page, and none of them finds work similar to theirs. Each one buys by seeing what you have already done for someone like them. Pixate starts from that problem: its demo hangs one section per format from the menu.
Those formats are music videos, live events, VR and 360 videos, films and trailers, commercials, and makeup and special effects. There are also Clients, Blog and Contacts pages. It suits production companies, editing studios and independent filmmakers who offer several of those services and want each visitor to go straight to theirs.
What a visitor goes through when scrolling down the Pixate home page
- Header with three highlights (in the demo: 360 video, editing and videography, film studio), each with its own "Read more" link.
- Block about the studio's origins, designed to tell who founded it and why it works the way it does.
- Testimonials from clients, which in this sector carry more weight than any slogan.
- Grid of six services, each with a short intro text.
- Latest work section, where your portfolio should live.
- Blog with recent posts and a newsletter subscription box.
If you plan to use the subscription box, check in the demo what that form connects to and what you will need to collect the emails.
The demo texts talk about a different business: delete them before publishing
The Pixate demo carries filler that has nothing to do with film: testimonials thanking a construction company for a public building and a bridge, a blog post about the advantages of BIM on an airport expansion, and a headline boasting of producing video since 1991. If you publish the theme without rewriting all that, a potential client will think you build things, or that you copied a template.
Don't leave WordPress's default tagline in the header either ("Just another WordPress site"). Replace the tagline, the founding story, the testimonials and the service names with your own. If you only offer three of the six formats, remove the other three: an empty or made-up section does more harm than not having one.
Is Pixate right for you if your studio does only one thing?
Pixate is a presentation and lead-generation website. Don't count on a shop, bookings, video sales or a private client area. Its strength is organizing a catalog of audiovisual services and showing work, not managing orders.
Does it work if I do a single format?
Yes, but the grid of six services is partly wasted. Keep it to the ones you really offer or, if it's just one, consider whether you need that much structure.
Can I change the demo's services?
They are sample texts and blocks (music, events, VR and 360, films, commercials, makeup and effects). The usual approach is to replace them with your own offer and your own images.
Is it good for showing 360 videos?
The demo includes VR and 360 as a service, that is, as a section where you present it. Whether the video plays in 360 on your site depends on the player you use, so test it with one of your own files before committing.
Does it include a blog?
Yes, the demo shows a blog section with recent posts, useful for publishing shoots, studio news or industry updates.
