About Pleader – Law Service Responsive WordPress Theme
A law firm that needs a presentable website, not a case management portal
Anyone building a law firm website tends to run into two problems: templates made for any business, with no room for practice areas, or designs so generic that visitors can't tell whether the firm handles their kind of case. Pleader starts from the opposite end: it is a theme made for lawyers and legal services.
It suits you if you want a presentation website with services, team, cases, testimonials, a blog and contact. It does not suit you if you expect online appointment booking, a private client area or fee payments: you would need separate plugins.
Pleader and its practice areas: one page for every problem that brings in clients
Nobody with a legal problem searches for just "lawyer": they search for their divorce, their debt with the bank, their property purchase or their fine. That is why each area should have its own page rather than a list of services lost on the home page. The demo includes service pages for health, criminal, family, banking, real estate and tax law, plus a single service template.
This lets you write each area in the language of the person arriving at it, with its own call to get in touch. The theme provides the structure, but the text that convinces is yours to write.
Team, cases and testimonials: what visitors look at before they call
Hiring a lawyer is a decision with fear involved, and visitors look for signs of who is on the other side. The theme organizes them in several pieces:
- Team: a page listing the professionals and another with an individual profile.
- Cases: the portfolio comes in 2, 3 or 4 columns, with or without spacing between items, and with an individual project page.
- Testimonials and arguments: templates for testimonials and for "why choose us".
- Common questions: an FAQ page and a pricing page.
The names, job titles and comments in the demo are examples. Replace them with real data: publishing invented testimonials is a risk that isn't worth it, and for client cases you should only show what they have authorized.
A blog with six layouts for publishing about legal questions
A blog answering specific questions (for example, what mediation is useful for in a family conflict) is a common way for a firm to make itself known. Pleader includes blog templates with a sidebar on the left, on the right, on both sides, or in two columns with a sidebar on each side, so you can choose how much weight the reading gets compared with the rest of the page.
What you will see in the demo and will have to replace
The demo is full of filler content: Latin text, sample addresses and phone numbers, demo emails and sample figures. None of it is your firm. Plan to spend time changing every detail, especially phone, address and opening hours, because a wrong contact detail costs you clients.
For the home page there are two variants (Home and Home with video) and three versions of the About page, plus a site map.
Frequently asked questions about Pleader
Can I use it for something other than a law firm?
The structure (home, about, team, portfolio, blog and contact) is generic, but the demo texts and areas are legal. For another sector you would have to rewrite quite a lot.
Does it let people book an appointment with the lawyer?
It has a contact page, but calendar booking would require an additional plugin.
How many home pages does it include?
Two: a standard home page and one with video.
Can I show my cases in a grid?
Yes. The portfolio is presented in 2, 3 or 4 columns, with or without spacing, and each case has its own page.
