About Popup Maker - Terms & Conditions Popups
Terms nobody reads until there is a problem
Linking your terms in the footer and hoping someone reads them is the usual approach, but it does not work when you need visitors to have seen them before acting. Terms & Conditions Popups is a Popup Maker extension that shows your terms in a popup and does not let people continue until they accept.
It has a useful side effect: if you force visitors to reach the end of the text to activate the checkbox, you will quickly notice whether your terms are an unreadable wall. Terms nobody can read in one sitting call for a summary, not a harsher block.
Block the whole page or just one button
Two triggers do the job:
- Force Agreement: blocks the page until the visitor accepts all the terms you have set.
- Click Block: prevents clicking a button, a link or another element until its terms are accepted. Afterwards it can run the blocked click on its own, so the visitor does not have to repeat the action.
In a single popup you can add several term boxes and require that all of them are accepted. For each box you customize the terms text, the agree text and the forced-read notice, and you can choose between several checkbox styles.

Online store
You can require acceptance before a product is added to the cart, blocking only that button with Click Block.
Community or site with registration
It works for asking for acceptance before registering or logging in, or before using the site, as social networks do.
Site with cookie or GDPR notices
It lets you build this kind of notice with a mandatory checkbox. Whether the notice complies with the regulations depends on your text and on how you set up the rest of the site, not on the plugin.
Site whose terms change
When the visitor accepts everything, a cookie is saved that hides the popup for the time you set. If you reset that cookie's key, everyone sees the popup again and accepts the new version.
Questions before setting it up
Can I require several acceptances at once?
Yes. You add several term boxes to a popup and the visitor has to accept all of them.
Can I force people to read the text?
Yes, it is optional per box: the checkbox is not activated until the visitor reaches the end of the text, and a notice explains why.
Does it always block the entire page?
Only with Force Agreement. With Click Block, only the element you choose is blocked.
How often does it appear again?
You decide: the acceptance cookie keeps it from reappearing for the period you specify.
It needs Popup Maker and is not an acceptance log
It is an extension: it does not work without the Popup Maker plugin installed. And its job is blocking and remembering through a cookie. If you need a record of who accepted what and when, check in the demo whether it covers what you need before relying on it.
