About PremiumPress Auction Theme
An auction house without lots is an empty shop window
Setting up an auction website usually gets stuck on the same things: bids that do not refresh, sellers who ask you to upload their pieces by hand, and commissions you end up calculating in a spreadsheet. And when it finally works, you discover that the hard part was never the bidding.
An online auction lives off bringing together two audiences who do not wait for each other: sellers with pieces worth bidding on and bidders who come back. If the lots are poor, nobody bids; if nobody bids, the seller does not return. PremiumPress Auction Theme handles the mechanical part (bids, accounts, commissions) so your time goes into what really fills the room: winning good sellers.
From listing a lot to getting paid: a vintage watch auction from start to finish
Imagine you open an auction house for vintage watches. This is what the journey would look like with the theme.
First: the seller lists a lot without entering wp-admin
Each seller registers and manages everything from the public side of the site. They fill in a step-by-step form with title, starting price, reserve, closing time and photos. Each lot supports several images and uploaded video files, with zoom and gallery, which matters a lot when the piece is worth thousands. On your side, you can charge listing fees and sell upgrades to feature lots.
Second: bidders compete without watching the clock
Each lot has its countdown, and bids and prices refresh every few seconds. The bidder sets a maximum and the system bids for them, increment by increment, up to that limit. An optional anti-sniping extension covers last-minute closings. From the admin you define the hidden reserve, an optional buy-it-now price and the increment of each lot.
To find the piece there is Ajax search with filters by keyword, category and price, custom fields per category and postal code radius search. Anyone who is outbid receives an email, and can save lots to favourites to come back to them.
Third: the lot closes and your work with the money begins
The winner receives an email with the payment link and pays through your gateways. Here is the limit worth having clear: the theme does not distribute the money for you. When a lot sells, the seller receives an email invoice with your commission, and you are the one who pays the sellers. You can combine a per-lot fee, a percentage of the final sale, a buyer's premium and membership plans, but you have to define your policy on deadlines and disputes before opening.
Fourth: reputation builds itself
After each completed sale, buyer and seller leave their feedback, with stars and a reputation profile. You can moderate it from the admin.
Questions before setting up your auction with PremiumPress Auction Theme
Do I need paid plugins for the bidding?
No: the bidding engine, seller accounts, payment gateways and lot management come inside the theme. The free Elementor plugin is used to design pages with blocks.
Who pays the sellers?
You do. Buyers pay through your gateways and the theme invoices your commission to the seller, so the distribution of the money is on your side.
Can people bid from a phone?
Yes. Lot pages, galleries, countdowns and the bid form work on phones and tablets, and lots can also be listed from a phone.
Elementor blocks and sector designs in PremiumPress Auction Theme
Pages are built by dragging auction-specific blocks: live-bid panels, lot carousels, countdown strips and calls to action for sellers. There are also starting designs by sector, such as art and antiques, cars and boats, wine, machinery or charity auctions.
- Penny auctions: each bid uses one prepaid credit and adds 15 seconds to the clock; buyers purchase credit packs through your gateways.
- What you decide: commissions, premiums, listing fees, featured upgrades and membership plans.
- Before opening: choose your payment gateways and decide how you will pay each seller.
