About PremiumPress LMS Learning Theme

Your student list shouldn't live in someone else's house

Launching an online course usually ends one of two ways: a third-party platform that keeps a share of every sale and decides how you see your students, or a puzzle of plugins (LMS, forums, memberships, payments) that never quite work together.

People who teach online own an asset that few look after at the start: the relationship with their students. If that relationship lives inside someone else's platform, it isn't yours. PremiumPress LMS Learning Theme takes the opposite approach: a WordPress theme on your own hosting that brings together courses, community and payments, built for coaches, experts and creators who want a self-hosted alternative to platforms like Skool.

PremiumPress LMS Learning Theme: courses, community and payments without loose plugins

  • Courses with modules and lessons: video or text lessons, downloadable materials and drag-and-drop ordering. Any lesson can be marked as a free preview so visitors can try before they pay.
  • Community inside every course: a members tab and a discussion tab, a group chat for enrolled students only and messaging between members. You don't need to set up a separate forum.
  • Student progress: a progress bar, a button to resume where they left off and a personal dashboard with their courses. Fewer "where did I leave off?" messages in your inbox.
  • Flexible payments: free or paid courses, one-time payment, monthly or yearly subscription, free trial, coupons and memberships that open the whole library or only certain courses.
  • Instructors: they can have an account, create their own courses and you approve them from the admin. You can also sell featured spots and homepage placements.
  • Ratings and search: stars and moderated reviews on every course, plus Ajax search with filters by topic, level and price.

Card and PayPal payments come as add-ons

The theme doesn't ship with Stripe or PayPal payments switched on: they're added through free add-ons, among more than thirty gateways. Plan for that step before you open sales.

Pages are built with Elementor

Course blocks (curriculum, lesson player, pricing tables) are arranged in Elementor, using its free plugin. If you haven't used a page builder before, set aside time to learn how to move blocks around.

Live classes and certificates: check first

What's described is recorded courses, text, chat and memberships. If your programme depends on live classes or certificates at the end, check in the demo how the design you pick would handle it.

Common questions from people building an academy with PremiumPress LMS

Do I need a separate LMS plugin?

No. Courses, lessons, enrolment, memberships and community come with the theme itself.

Does it take a commission from my sales?

The theme applies no platform commission. External payment gateways will have their own fees, which depend on each provider.

Can I offer free courses to build an audience?

Yes. You can combine free courses, previews and paid courses, and later move students up to a membership.

Does it work on mobile and in other languages?

Course pages, the player and the student dashboard adapt to any screen. It includes 10 language packs and is translation-ready.

Pick one of the 27 designs before you touch a block

The theme starts from 27 designs grouped by type of business: course membership sites, coaching communities, expert communities, creator academies and paid community platforms, among others. Start with the one closest to your offer, because changing structure later costs more than adjusting colours and text.

A sensible order: with the design chosen, connect a payment gateway, create a first free course with one or two preview lessons and define the membership you want to sell. If you'll have instructors, also test the approval flow in the admin before inviting anyone.
