Ratio and Material Design style on a company website
A corporate website is usually built in a hurry and ages badly: misaligned blocks, a mobile view that looks different from the desktop one, and text nobody dares to edit for fear of breaking the layout. Ratio starts from a clean, fresh design inspired by Material Design, made for company sites, creative agencies and other businesses.
The theme provides the frame, but the hard work is yours: with stock photos and generic sentences, a Material-style site looks like every other one. Ratio works best when you already have your own images and a clear message about what you do and who you do it for.
Import the demo and replace the text and images
The theme includes one-click demo import. It is the fastest way to see the site already built and swap in your content instead of building every page from scratch. This is what makes it comfortable for people who are not designers:
- Responsive design that adapts to tablets and phones, and compatibility with the major browsers.
- SEO-friendly settings, useful as a base, although rankings depend mostly on your content.
- Product tags pointing to uses such as agency, portfolio, blog, onepage and parallax, with a minimalist approach.
KingComposer, Contact Form 7 and animations: what comes inside
Layouts are built with KingComposer. If you already work with another builder, you will have to learn this one or carefully maintain both. Contact relies on Contact Form 7: it works for receiving enquiries, but it is not a quote or booking system.
It includes entrance animations (Wow animation) and documentation in text and video. The animations add dynamism, but on a corporate site they are best used sparingly: check in the demo how they behave on mobile and whether they slow down long pages.
Is Ratio right if you need more than a presentation site?
Ratio fits if you want a company or agency website with services, portfolio, blog and contact. It is not an online store theme: it has no e-commerce features, so if you plan to sell products, consider another option or check beforehand that it works with what you need.
Do I need to know design?
No. You import the demo, change the text and images, and adjust things with KingComposer. You do need good material of your own so the result does not look like a template.
Can I use my favorite page builder?
The theme is designed for KingComposer. If you prefer another builder, check in the demo whether it is worth switching tools.
Does it work for a blog or a portfolio?
Yes, its tags include blog and portfolio, as well as onepage. Check in the demo how those sections are displayed before deciding.
