Appearing in Google is not the same as getting the click

Two results in the same position do not perform alike. One is a title and two lines of text. The other carries review stars, the price, the recipe's preparation time or the event's date. The second takes up more space, answers sooner and takes the click, even though both sit in the same place on the list.

That difference is not achieved by writing better: it is achieved by marking up the content so the search engine understands what each thing is. That is what structured data does, and it is one of the few ranking improvements whose effect shows on the results page itself.

Schema PRO exists so that markup is not a page-by-page job.

What the official Schema PRO licence covers

The Pro features activated, the maker's updates while the licence is current and their support. The GPLClub team leaves the activation ready on your domain.

What it does

• Sets up markup in three steps: you choose the type, say where it applies and the plugin maps the data.
• Covers more than thirteen types: product, recipe, course, book, event, job posting and the other usual ones.
• Applies by template, so a thousand product pages get marked up at once rather than one at a time.
• Takes the data from where it already is, custom fields from ACF or Toolset included.
• Emits JSON-LD, the format search engines prefer, without touching the design or the speed.

When it pays

If you have many pages of the same type. Shops, recipe sites, directories, event listings and job boards: that is where template markup pays for itself on the first afternoon.

If you compete for crowded searches. When every result says more or less the same, the one showing data wins the visual contest.

If you already use a complete SEO plugin, check what it brings first, because structured data may be covered: that is the case with the Rank Math licence and the SEOPress PRO one. Duplicating markup does not add, it subtracts.

About licensing and the GPL

The code is distributed under the GPL licence and its use is free. Updates, support and activation against the maker's servers are separate services contracted with them. They are not the same thing, and buying one is not buying the other.
