Showmax for studios, freelancers and online resumes
The theme is aimed at people who need to show what they do and who is behind it:
- Agencies and studios: marketing, advertising, SEO, social media, web building and digital or graphic design.
- Personal portfolios: designers, developers, photographers, copywriters, and also fashion, make-up or tourism.
- Individual profiles: resume, vCard, personal blog or magazine, for anyone who wants an online business card.
The idea is the same in every case: bring your work, your background and your contact details together in one place, with a design that adapts to laptop and tablet.
Elementor or Gutenberg: edit it the way you prefer
Showmax is compatible with Elementor, Elementor Pro and Gutenberg, so you can adjust pages with a page builder or with the WordPress block editor, whichever suits you better. It is also compatible with WPML, which is useful if your clients are in more than one language, and with WooCommerce, in case you want to add a shop.
It is responsive and retina ready, a detail that matters when what you show are images and visual pieces. It includes documentation to guide you as you build.
Keep in mind that Elementor Pro and WPML are separate plugins: the theme is compatible with them, but it does not replace them. If you want to use their features, you will need them separately.
Creative portfolio or video platform? Decide before choosing Showmax
Showmax is designed as a portfolio and agency theme. It is not a streaming platform or a catalog of movies or series. If your idea is to show a showreel or audiovisual pieces inside a portfolio, check in the demo how videos are presented before deciding. And although it supports WooCommerce, its focus is showing work, not managing a large product catalog.
Is it suitable for a small agency or studio?
Yes, it is exactly one of the uses it is designed for: marketing studios, creative agencies, advertising firms and web designers.
Can I use it for my resume or a personal blog?
Yes. It is also meant for resumes, vCards, personal blogs and magazines, as well as copywriter, photographer or designer profiles.
Can I run the website in several languages?
It is compatible with WPML. You need that plugin separately to manage translations.
Does it look good on mobile and retina screens?
It is responsive and retina ready. Even so, check the demo on your phone while picturing your own images.
