Imagine you are building a photographer's website. Here is how the work breaks down:

• First screen: the Hero addon creates a full-width section with parallax, video and layered content. If you prefer a pure video background, Video Background does it separately.
• Gallery: Parallax Sliders gives you immersive scrolling, and Image Overlay shows text when hovering over each photo. Lightbox opens the images full screen.
• Different content on mobile: Toggle Visibility shows or hides blocks by device, login status or schedule. That way the heavy video can stay on desktop only.
• Header and footer: with Mirror Widgets you edit once and it updates everywhere.
• Booking by contact: Contact Form Fields adds date pickers and phone fields, and Contact Log keeps a record of the messages sent.

If you sell online, the most used addon is WooCommerce Templates. It lets you build the shop, product and checkout pages with Page Builder, instead of accepting the default layout. You need WooCommerce installed, of course, and you do the design of each template yourself: the addon gives you the canvas, not a ready-made design.

For the rest of the site there are finishing tools: Maintenance Mode for the holding page during a rebuild, 404 Page so a broken link does not push the visitor away, Logo Booster to set a different logo per page, and Related Posts and Author Box for blogs.

The Widgets Bundle adds 17 addons designed to present information: Accordion for FAQs, Tabs to organize categories or product data, Carousel for showcases, Testimonials, Tooltip and Call-To-Action with more options. Web Font Selector gives you access to more than 1,600 Google Fonts from the editor.

Is it worth it if I only want one or two effects?

It is a bundle: either you use it a lot or much of it is wasted. If you only need, for example, an accordion, the free options will probably be enough.

Does it help with GDPR compliance?

Embed Blocker controls third-party embedded content, and Cloudflare Turnstile protects forms. They are aids, and do not guarantee legal compliance on their own.

Can the attribution link be removed?

Yes, the No Attribution addon is designed for that.

When SiteOrigin Premium is not worth it

If your site is already built with another page builder, you will barely use any of it. Nor is it a ready-made template generator: it speeds up specific tasks, but the design is still yours. On the other hand, if you work with Page Builder and repeat tasks across projects, it saves separate plugins and hours of tweaking.
