You write a good piece, somebody shares it and there it is: a box with your link, the title cut short and the same generic image that appears on all your articles, because nobody has time to design a different cover for every post.

And that card is exactly what decides whether the link gets tapped or scrolled past, because on a social network nobody reads the address: they look at the image. The full version of the problem is that this work never gets done, even by people who know it matters, because opening an image editor for every post does not pay.

SleekPixel solves it the other way round: you design the template once and the images generate themselves from each post's content.

What the official SleekPixel licence covers

The plugin activated with all its features, the developer's updates while the licence is current and their support. The GPLClub team leaves the activation ready on your domain.

What it does

• Generates the images seen when sharing (the Open Graph ones) from a template of yours.
• Generates featured images too, for posts that do not have one of their own.
• They update with the content: if the title changes, the image changes, with nothing else to touch.
• Drag-and-drop editor inside the WordPress dashboard, without leaving for another tool.
• Custom fonts and live preview while you build the template.

When it pays

If you publish a lot. The more content goes out, the bigger the difference between a hundred carefully made cards and a hundred identical ones.

If your traffic comes from being shared. Newsletters, social networks and messaging: in all of those the image comes first and sometimes is all that gets seen.

If you have a five-page site nobody shares, this is surplus: it is a tool for whoever publishes steadily.

One check worth doing at the end: look at how your link renders by pasting it into a chat or a newsletter, and with long titles. That is where the odd croppings show and where the template really gets adjusted.

About licensing and the GPL

The code is distributed under the GPL licence and its use is free. Updates, support and activation against the developer's servers are separate services contracted with them. They are not the same thing, and buying one is not buying the other.
