About Soliloquy - Defaults Addon
Every new slider starts from scratch, and that is where inconsistency creeps in
Building the fifth slider of the month and choosing again the same transition, the same navigation behavior and the same options you used on the previous four is work nobody sees, but it costs time. Worse still: when you forget one setting, the new slider behaves differently from the rest of the site and nobody knows why.
Soliloquy - Defaults Addon solves exactly that: you set your preferences once and every new slider you create with Soliloquy starts with them.

If you have your own way of configuring a slider (the one you already know works), the addon lets you keep it as the starting point on every project. Sliders across different sites come out with the same criteria and you spend your time on images and content, not on reviewing options.
Someone managing a single site with many sliders
On sites with sliders on the homepage, in categories and on product pages, visual consistency matters. With fixed starting values, a new slider does not clash with the earlier ones even if you create it months later or someone else on the team does.
Someone who already uses other Soliloquy addons
Default values can also be set for the addons you have activated. If every slider usually carries, for example, the same options from a particular addon, you will not have to tick them again each time.
The “Soliloquy Default Settings” slider is your template
When you activate the addon, a slider called “Soliloquy Default Settings” is created automatically. It has the same interface as any other slider, so there is no new panel to learn: you adjust your preferences there and those are the ones the sliders you create afterwards inherit.

No. It is a Soliloquy add-on and needs the base plugin to have any effect.

In the “Soliloquy Default Settings” slider, which appears alongside your sliders once the addon is activated.
Does it work with the other Soliloquy addons?
Yes, it lets you set default values for the addons you have activated too.
Does it change the sliders I have already built?
It is designed for the new sliders you create. Existing ones are worth reviewing by hand if you want them to follow the same criteria.
It only sets starting points, it does not build sliders for you
The addon does not add effects, layouts or slider features: it simply saves you from repeating settings. If your problem is that Soliloquy does not offer something you need, this add-on will not fix it. And if you only build a slider once in a while, the saving will be small.
