About Stackable Premium WordPress Plugin

Gutenberg falls short, and the fix shouldn't weigh more than your content

Anyone working with the block editor ends up hitting the same wall: fine-grained elements are missing, and the usual way out is to install one plugin for each thing. The result is a site with several different stylesheets that the visitor downloads even though they never see most of those elements. Stackable tries to avoid this with a single collection of more than 40 blocks that you use inside the WordPress editor itself, without switching interfaces.

Blocks, design library and global system in Stackable

The custom blocks cover what the native editor leaves half-done, with advanced design controls in a tidy interface. On top of them there is a library of designs, templates and UI kits to put together whole sections in a few clicks and then tweak the details.

  • Global design system: you define styles once and they stay consistent across the site, instead of repeating colors and fonts block by block.
  • Dynamic content and conditional display: they connect the design with data and let you show or hide blocks depending on conditions.
  • Motion effects: animations to bring designs to life.
  • Role manager: used to control which users can access what.

Small CSS and a design that respects mobile

The CSS that Stackable loads on the front end is around 10.7 kb in total. It also takes advantage of browser caching and serves images at the right resolution for each screen. It is designed with Core Web Vitals in mind, although final speed also depends on your hosting, your theme and the weight of your images.

For responsive design you can see live how the layout looks on each device, adjust tablet and mobile separately, hide or show blocks depending on the screen, and define your own breakpoints.

What Stackable offers each type of buyer

If you run your own blog or business

You can lay out pages with ready-made designs and without writing code, and change only what differs from one page to another. The global system prevents each page from ending up with a different style.

If you are a designer or developer building sites for clients

The advanced controls, your own breakpoints and dynamic content give you room to build without leaving the block editor. The role manager lets you decide what each of the client's users can touch.

If you handle marketing and content

Conditional display lets you adapt pages to different audiences, and motion effects help animate the designs, as long as they don't weigh the page down.

Questions before installing Stackable

Does it replace my theme?

No. It adds blocks and design tools to the editor; the theme still sets the overall structure of the site.

Do I need to know code?

Not to build pages: you work with blocks and visual controls.

Does it adapt to mobile?

Yes, and you can review tablet and mobile separately, as well as hide blocks on each one.

Does it work with my other tools?

It has an integrations section, but before deciding check in the demo that the tool you use appears in it.

It needs the block editor: it is not a separate page builder

Stackable lives inside Gutenberg. If you prefer a builder with its own standalone editor, this is not that idea. And if your theme barely respects the block editor, part of the result will depend on it.
