About StaffScout – Job Board and Employment Theme
For anyone building a niche job board, not a portal that competes with the giants
An empty job board scares off both sides: candidates will not sign up if they see no listings, and companies will not post if they see no candidates. That is why StaffScout fits best if you already have a sector, a city or a community to start from and can load the first listings yourself. Importing the demo content with one click shows you how everything looks, but you then have to replace it with real content.
Do not choose it if you only need a corporate website with two loose vacancies: it is more theme than you need. And do not expect it to do the job of a plugin on its own: it is designed to work with WP Job Manager, which is a separate plugin, and extra features depend on that plugin's extensions. The demo photos are for display only and you cannot use them on your website.
Job and resume search so the listing is not a wall of text
When a job board grows, what makes people come back is finding what they want quickly. Each job has its own page with salary, location and listing type, and the theme includes sorting options and several ways to display jobs and resumes through shortcodes:
- job lists and sliders;
- simple search, advanced search and a listing by job type;
- resume lists, sliders, individual resume pages and advanced resume search.
Candidates and employers with their own dashboard in StaffScout
Visitors can create a profile, add their resume, enter their qualifications and post jobs. There is a user dashboard template, a login form and the option to sign in with Facebook and Google accounts. In the demo you can log in with a test user and create a job or a resume to see what each side will see.
If you want to charge for posting or review each job before showing it, check how the flow works in the demo: that depends on WP Job Manager and its extensions, not on the theme.
Eight homepages, WPBakery and a menu that does not make you touch code
It comes with eight homepage examples and a broad collection of inner pages. The theme includes the WPBakery Page Builder and Slider Revolution plugins, so you can build layouts without coding. There is a mega menu, customizable Google Maps, several headers (with separate logos for regular, sticky and mobile), a configurable footer, more than 800 Google Fonts and shortcodes for pricing tables, calls to action, galleries or banners.
It also brings a blog with several layouts, a child theme, translation readiness and compatibility with WPML, WooCommerce and Contact Form 7. You install those plugins yourself if you need them.

Do I need to know how to code?
No. It is managed from the admin panel, with demo import and ready-made shortcodes.
Does it work with WP Job Manager extensions?
Yes, it is compatible with the plugin and its extensions. The plugin is installed separately.
Can I run the job board in several languages?
It is translation ready and compatible with WPML, which is a separate plugin.
Can I use the demo images?
No. They are for presentation only, so you will need to use your own images or license them yourself.
