A portfolio doesn't lose clients for lack of photos, but for too many
Whoever hires a photographer, a video studio or an interior design firm usually looks at three pieces and decides. A site that shows forty projects in a row, with an effect on every block, dilutes exactly those three. Stotage is a theme for photographers, creative designers, design agencies and architecture and interior design studios.
It is responsive and Retina ready. The final sharpness depends on the files you upload, so prepare your images carefully before filling the gallery.
Elementor and over 50 custom widgets to build Stotage without touching code
The theme is built with the Elementor page builder and includes over 50 custom widgets, plus carousels, FontAwesome icons and CSS3 animations. What matters most day to day:
- Header and footer builder, and mega menu: you can start from the included models and adjust them, with columns, images and icons in the menu. There is also a sticky menu when scrolling.
- Theme and page options: global colors and fonts, with a real-time preview. Each page or post can override the global settings if you want a home page different from the rest.
- One page navigation: it works for a single-page portfolio with smooth scrolling.
- One-click demos and an empty child theme: you import sample content and start from it. If you are going to touch code, the child theme is already in the package.
Video backgrounds, parallax and Slider Revolution for the Stotage home page
You can add a video background to sliders, sections and page headers, and add parallax. It also includes the Slider Revolution plugin.
A tip from the trade: a video background is a heavy file and it competes with your own photos. Use a short one and save the effects for the home page and one or two key pages. If everything moves, nothing stands out.
Is Stotage enough if you want to sell, translate and receive quote requests?
Stotage is WooCommerce ready, with several layouts for the shop page and for displaying products, and it supports various product types. It is also compatible with WPML, with Mailchimp for subscriptions and with Contact Form 7 for forms, and it comes with Google Maps. Keep in mind that WooCommerce, WPML and Contact Form 7 are plugins you install separately. The theme does not replace them. If you need to book sessions with a calendar, check in the demo whether it fits or consider a dedicated plugin. And the whole design relies on Elementor: if you prefer another builder, this theme is not for you.
Does it work for photography and for video?
Yes. It is designed for both: carousels for photos, and video backgrounds in sliders, sections and headers.
Can I sell prints or courses?
With WooCommerce installed, yes: the theme brings shop and product layouts. Payment and shipping setup is handled by WooCommerce.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You customize it with Elementor and the theme options. If you want code changes, use the included child theme.
Can I have the site in several languages?
It is compatible with WPML, but that plugin is installed separately.
