Studios and agencies that already have work to show, not a shop to build
A design studio usually has the website that got the least attention: client jobs come first and its own page ends up with a PDF, four links and a promise of «we'll redo it soon».
It fits if you are a small studio, a freelancer or an agency doing graphic design, video, branding or digital marketing, and you want a site where services, projects and team can be read at a glance. It does not fit if what you need is an online shop, a booking system or a site with a lot of technical information: the demo revolves around services and portfolio.
What Stylight puts on the home page
The demo is organized in blocks that follow the path of a client who is sizing you up:
- Menu with Home, About, Services, Projects and Contacts.
- Three numbered services (graphic design, video production and branding), each with a headline and a short paragraph.
- Projects presented with the client's name and a line about the work done.
- Testimonials, blog posts, frequently asked questions, team with job titles, plans, newsletter and social networks.
A portfolio that tells what changed, not just the logo
In the demo each project carries the client's name and a sentence with the service provided and the effect it had. Copy that format with your real cases. Whoever hires a studio compares it with three others and usually picks the one that explains what happened after delivery, not the one that shows more images. If you have no figures you can back up, a sober sentence is better than an invented percentage.
The demo texts are filler and must be changed before publishing
The demo testimonials repeat the same name, the frequently asked questions share a single generic text and the skill bars (Photoshop, Illustrator, PHP) appear without values. The Instagram block, besides, shows an invalid data notice. Expect to replace everything, and check that the feed shows your own posts before launching.
There is also a plans table with live streaming and adaptive bitrate features, which have little to do with a creative studio. Rewrite it with your own services.
Common questions before choosing Stylight
Does it work for a one-person studio?
The demo includes a team block with several designers. If you work alone, you will need to decide how to present yourself (for example, with your profile and your usual collaborators).
Does it include a blog?
The demo shows recent posts with an excerpt and a read more link, plus a block to subscribe to the newsletter.
Is it good for selling products?
It is not designed for that. It is a site for presenting services and getting contacts.
Do the texts come ready to use?
No. They are examples from a fictional agency, and it is best to rewrite them with your own voice, your clients and your real results.
