About Tapsi – Personal Portfolio WordPress Theme
Your best work this year is still not on your website
You delivered a project you are proud of, promised to upload it when you had a moment, and there it sits, in a folder. Meanwhile, whoever looks you up sees what you used to do. Material is rarely what is missing. What is missing is publishing a new piece being so easy that you do it the day you deliver.
A portfolio only represents you if updating it does not feel like a chore. That is why, when choosing a theme, how much effort it takes to edit matters as much as how it looks. Tapsi is a WordPress theme for personal portfolios built on Elementor, so pages are edited by dragging and dropping, without writing code.
What Tapsi has inside
- Elementor as the page builder.
- One-click demo importer, and sample content in XML.
- Options with Redux, a settings framework for WordPress themes.
- Child theme included, to keep your own changes separate.
- Standard blog and a load more button.
- Custom widgets and a shortcode generator.
- Dropdown menu and touch swipe support.
- Styling for Contact Form 7, Animate CSS effects and Font Awesome icons.
- Responsive design for mobile, ready for Retina screens.
A routine so the portfolio does not fall behind
Elementor removes the technical barrier, but the habit is yours. This routine is a suggestion, so adjust it to the way you work:
- Prepare a structure for each project. Brief, what you did and the outcome, always in the same order.
- Gather the material on delivery. Ask the client for permission to show it and save the final images at that moment.
- Lead with what you want to be hired for. Put at the top the type of work you want to repeat, even if it is not the newest.
- Remove what no longer represents you. Adding work also means deciding what stops being shown.
A theme for Elementor, and what it leaves to other plugins
Tapsi is not Gutenberg optimized. If you prefer working with the WordPress block editor, this approach goes in another direction.
Its focus is the portfolio. Its features do not include a store or appointment booking: if you want to sell your work or schedule calls, you will have to add that with another plugin and test how it fits the design.
The theme styles Contact Form 7, but you create the form with that plugin. And the demo content is a starting point: the texts and projects that represent you are still your job.
Elementor, the demo and your first published project
You need WordPress and Elementor, plus Contact Form 7 if you want to receive messages. To get started:
- Install Tapsi, and activate the child theme too if you plan to change code.
- Install Elementor and Contact Form 7.
- Run the one-click demo importer.
- Change the name, photo, texts and contact details from Elementor.
- Replace the sample projects with yours, starting with three that represent you.
- Send a test message and check the site from your phone.
Catalog portfolios with a different focus
If your work is heard or moves, Tokyo accepts images, Vimeo, YouTube or SoundCloud in its projects. If you have a lot of work and are unsure how to arrange it, Zugan brings 36 portfolio layouts and is also meant for those who want to sell their work with WooCommerce.
Code, blog and messages in Tapsi
Do I need to know how to code?
For everyday work, no: pages are edited in Elementor by dragging and dropping. The child theme is there for those who want to touch code.
Can I publish articles as well as projects?
Yes, it has standard blog pages.
Can I start from the demo?
Yes, with the one-click importer. The sample content also comes in XML.
Does it work for a resume or a business?
It is a portfolio designed for personal, business or resume sites.
How do I receive contact messages?
Through Contact Form 7, which the theme already covers with its own styling.
Does it look good on mobile?
The design is responsive and supports touch swipe gestures, but check it with your own images.
