About Themer Pro
Editing a theme through FTP, a basic editor or a local editor is slow
Anyone who customizes themes for clients knows the cycle: open FTP, change a file, upload it, reload the site and discover the hook you were looking for was somewhere else. Themer Pro brings that work inside the WordPress Dashboard, with a development environment for themes.
A child theme from a few form fields
You fill in a few fields and Themer Pro generates the child theme in the themes folder, ready to activate. The plugin is compatible with a list of popular themes and frameworks; before buying it, confirm that the one you use in your projects is on it.
Themer Pro as an IDE inside the dashboard
It includes the Ace editor, so you write code in a real editor and not in a plain text box. You get access to the files of both the parent and the child theme, and you can choose the editor's visual theme in the settings. It also includes a simple image manager for the active child theme.

It is a development tool, not a site builder
Themer Pro does not design the site for you with blocks or visual templates, and it makes no sense without coding knowledge. This is what it covers and what is left to you:
- Solved: creating the child theme, editing files, testing CSS and HTML on the front-end and locating hooks.
- You provide: the code for your customizations, HTML, CSS and PHP.
- You provide: the theme or framework you work on, which must be one of the compatible ones.
- You provide: a testing environment or a backup before editing files on a production site.
It is aimed mainly at freelance developers. If you only want to change colors and fonts without touching code, it is not for you.

Does it work with any theme?
No. It works with a list of popular themes and frameworks. Check that yours is included before installing it.
Can I edit the parent theme?
Yes, you have access to the files of both the parent and the child. Even so, it is usual to customize in the child so you do not lose changes.
Do I need to know how to code?
Yes. Creating the child theme is simple, but the other tools assume you write CSS, HTML or PHP.
Can I test changes without risk?
The CSS and HTML sandboxes are for testing tweaks on the front-end. Even so, if you edit files on a live site, work with a backup.
