About Tur Architecture WordPress Theme
The commission filter works before the first meeting
An architecture studio loses hours on inquiries that were never going to be a project: someone with no deadline, with a budget that falls short, or looking for something else. With a name and message form, that conversation is discovered in the meeting, when the time is already spent.
Tur is a WordPress theme for architecture and interior design studios, and on its demo the Get a quote page asks those questions up front. Asking deadline and budget in the form lets you sort inquiries before replying. These are the fields in that example:
- How they found you: referral, Dribbble or Behance, Google or other.
- Type of commission: architecture, interior design, exterior design or complex project.
- Free description of the project.
- Three designs they like: photos, examples or links.
- Delivery time-frame: four options.
- Budget: four brackets.
- Project variants they expect to receive: one, two or three.
The brackets and time-frames belong to the demo: replace them with yours, because that is where the filter is.
Fourteen home pages and seven project views
The demo shows fourteen home page variants, among them architecture studio, interior design, minimal portfolio, fullscreen, freelancer, parallax and exhibition.
For projects there are seven detail designs (left gallery, parallax, simple, slider, urban, menio and tile info). Listings come as metro, carousel, masonry or a grid of three, four or five columns, with or without spacing. There are also pages for team, services, pricing, showrooms, press and clients.
Pieces for explaining a build to someone who cannot read plans
- Before and after: the demo places two labeled images, a useful option for renovations.
- Protected page: asks for a password before showing the content.
- Calendar: monthly view with the Scheduled plugin.
- Its own shortcodes: projects, team, articles, statistics, renovation process videos and products for sale.
- Compatibility: WPBakery Page Builder, WooCommerce, Real 3D FlipBook, Image Map Pro and MailChimp.
- Shop: shop and product pages on the demo, for selling designs or art.
The package is rounded out by header and footer options, an editable 404 page, settings export and a child theme.
Images, builder and RTL are on you
Your images. The demo ones are for the demo only. In a theme this visual, much of what convinces you today is that photography, so picture the home page with yours before deciding.
The builder. The theme's builder is WPBakery Page Builder, and Elementor is not among its compatible plugins. If you work with Elementor, look at the alternatives below.
Right-to-left writing. It is not integrated into the theme. A site in Arabic or Hebrew would have to solve it with plugins such as WPML or Polylang, and it is worth testing before committing a site.
Tur up and running: the first tasks
It needs WordPress, and WooCommerce only if you are going to sell. The order that saves you redoing work:
- Install the theme and its child theme, above all if you will edit code.
- Choose on the demo the home page that fits your volume of work.
- Prepare your project photos and decide which detail view you will use.
- Rewrite the form with your budget brackets and time-frames, and send yourself a test.
- Export the theme settings once you are happy, as a backup.
Brok and Ollis, for studios with other priorities
If you prefer editing with Elementor, Brok works with that builder and its project page records area, year, location and type of commission. If your business mixes a studio with furniture or construction, Ollis brings demos geared to architecture, interior design, furniture and construction.
Form, clients and settings backups in Tur
Can I change the form questions?
The demo one is an example meant to be adapted. Check which plugin it is built with on your site and edit it from there.
Can I show a project to just one client?
The demo includes a password-protected page, useful for that case. Check what content you leave inside.
Does it work if I work alone?
Yes, a freelancer variant is among the home pages.
Can I back up my settings?
Yes, the theme settings can be exported and imported.
