Connecting plugins that do not talk to each other
A WordPress with fifteen plugins has fifteen islands. The form knows nothing about the course system, the shop does not tell the CRM, and the membership never learns that somebody finished a course. Every time you need one thing to trigger another, the options are hiring somebody to write a hook, or paying an external tool that also takes your data onto its servers.
Uncanny Automator is that connecting layer, but inside WordPress. You build recipes: when X happens, do Y.
How a recipe is built
- Trigger: the event that starts everything. "A post is published", "somebody completes a course", "an order comes in".
- Action: what happens next. Send a notification, grant access, add a row to a spreadsheet.
- Conditions and filters: to segment by email domain, membership level, purchase history or CRM tags.
It also supports scheduled delays, loops for bulk operations, dynamic data through tokens, and conditional branching. Which is to say it is not only "if this then that": you can build flows with several paths.
What it connects to
More than 230 services. On the WordPress side: LearnDash, WooCommerce, Gravity Forms, BuddyBoss, WPForms, Elementor, MemberPress and Formidable, among many others. Outside: Google Sheets, Mailchimp, Slack, Zoom, Stripe, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Facebook and Zapier.
Also AI models: OpenAI, Anthropic's Claude, Google Gemini and Cohere.
What it actually gets used for
- Education: enrolling on purchase, alerting the tutor when somebody gets stuck, issuing the certificate on completion.
- Shops: cart recovery, stock alerts, sending the sales report every Monday.
- Memberships: granting and revoking access, dunning campaigns, community management.
- Support: triaging and escalating tickets automatically.
The assistant
It includes Uncanny Agent, an assistant you describe the automation to in plain language and which builds it, and which can also answer questions about your business data conversationally.

Do I need to know how to code?
No. Recipes are built by choosing a trigger and an action from the dashboard.
How is it different from Zapier?
It runs inside your WordPress and knows what happens within it. It also integrates with Zapier if you need to reach outside.
Can I add conditions?
Yes, filters by email domain, membership level, purchase history or CRM tags, plus conditional branching.
Can an action be delayed?
Yes, it supports scheduled delays, which is what a follow-up sequence needs.
