For anyone whose work gets copied with Ctrl+C, not for those afraid of an expert
You upload photos of a project, a property listing or the text of your menu, and weeks later it shows up on another site with a different logo. The person doing that is almost never a hacker: usually it is someone in a hurry who right-clicks, selects and pastes. UnGrabber is designed for that everyday copier.
It suits you if your site lives on original content: a blog, portfolio, creative agency, real estate listing, CV, restaurant or shop. It is not for you if you expect absolute protection. It blocks the copying methods used from the page itself, but a screenshot is outside its reach and someone with technical knowledge and plenty of determination will still have options. Think of it as a locked door, not a safe.
Right-click, hotkeys, developer tools, selection and dragging
The plugin closes the paths an ordinary visitor uses to take your material:
- The right-click context menu.
- Hotkeys for copying or saving.
- The browser's developer tools.
- Text selection and image dragging.
The protection covers text and images and works in Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari and Edge. It is written in native JavaScript, without jQuery, and the regular visitor does not notice it is there.
Settings one by one, sitewide or only on the pages that matter
Each security element is switched on or off separately, and you can apply it to the whole site or to specific pages. It comes with an initial configuration set up to protect, so installing and activating it is enough.
Keep a cool head here: if you block selection everywhere, you also annoy people who want to copy your phone number, your address or a discount code. Protect the pages where the valuable material sits (gallery, listings, articles) and leave the contact pages free. Check in the demo how browsing feels with everything on.
UnGrabber with Elementor, Gutenberg, WooCommerce and your theme
It works with any WordPress theme and with the usual page builders: Elementor, Gutenberg, Divi, Beaver Builder, WP Bakery and others. It is also compatible with WooCommerce, useful if your product photos are the ones being copied. It adapts to mobiles, tablets and right-to-left (RTL) sites, and it does not affect indexing in search engines.
Questions before activating UnGrabber
Will it hurt my Google rankings?
No. The plugin does not affect how the site is indexed by search engines.
Does it stop someone from taking a screenshot?
No. Its job is to block copying from the page itself (right-click, hotkeys, selection, dragging). A screenshot taken with the system is outside its reach.
Can I protect everything except a few pages?
Yes, it works for the entire site as well as for individual pages, and the elements are configured separately.
Does it need jQuery?
No, it uses native JavaScript.
