About UniWorld – Donations Charity WordPress Theme

A nonprofit site without clear calls to action doesn't raise funds

Many small organizations have a cause well explained in their brochure and a website that only says «we are an NGO». Visitors arrive wanting to help, can't find where to give or how much is still missing, and leave. UniWorld starts from that problem: it is a theme for charities that puts donating at the center of the home page.

From the slogan to the donation without changing page

The demo opens with a slogan and a donation form, and repeats that form in several places: the home page, the causes and the areas in between. That way, donating doesn't depend on visitors browsing the whole site. The demo form includes:

  • Donation amount, with the total visible before submitting.
  • Payment method selection: test donation, offline donation and credit card.
  • Personal details: first name, last name and email address.

Below that, the home page presents the mission in three blocks (food, medical help and education for children) and three calls to action: become a fundraiser, donate and become a volunteer.

Causes with a deadline and a block for sponsors

The popular causes section shows each campaign with its amount raised and the time left. There is also a block for sponsors and another inviting people to join as volunteers or collaborators.

The demo menu includes Home, About, Support Us, Events and Contacts. The footer gathers a phone number, an address, social media icons and links to the FAQ, help center and terms and privacy.

Taking real payments requires setting up a payment gateway

A donations theme is not the same as having donations up and running. In the demo the form appears in test mode and warns that no real donations are processed. This is how the work is split:

  • Already solved: the form design on the home page, causes with deadlines, the mission, the volunteer and sponsor blocks, the menu and the footer.
  • You cover it: switching from test mode to live mode and connecting card payments to your payment provider.
  • You cover it: your organization's texts, photos, causes and target amounts; the ones in the demo are samples.
  • With a professional: receipts, tax deductions and privacy notices according to your country. Check with an advisor: the theme does not guarantee any legal compliance.
  • Check in the demo: whether the form and the way causes are presented fit how you run your campaigns.

Questions before choosing UniWorld

Can I take card payments right after installing it?

The demo shows the credit card option, but in test mode. To take real payments you need to switch to live mode and set up a payment provider.

Does it work if my organization doesn't work with children?

The demo texts talk about children, food, health and education, but they are sample content that you replace with your own.

Does it support offline donations?

The demo includes «Offline Donation» among its payment methods. How you handle those donations afterwards depends on your organization.

Can I use it to build a store?

No. The demo is designed to ask for donations and recruit volunteers, not to sell products.
