It needs the base plugin and a Klaviyo account
It is an addon: it does not work on its own. You need User Registration & Membership installed and your own Klaviyo account. The addon is not an email builder. Nor does it replace a web analytics tool.

The base plugin offers integrations with other email and CRM tools, but this addon is specific to Klaviyo. It is best to test which combinations work together on a staging site first.
The data you ask for defines what you can segment
This is where the real work lies: useful segmentation depends on the questions you ask in the form. If you only ask for a name and an email, there is little to segment. If you add an interests field or a customer type field, you will have something to work with. Ask only for what you will use, because every extra field costs you sign-ups.
Run a test registration first, then the welcome flow
Before launching anything, make a test registration with an email of your own and check in Klaviyo that the contact arrives with the expected data. Once it looks right, activate the welcome flow. If you already have registered users, do not assume they are imported automatically: check in the demo and in your Klaviyo account how existing users are handled before planning a campaign around them.
