About Ventix – Personal Portfolio Resume Theme
Freelancer with an online CV: Ventix is for you, not for a shop or a services website
A personal portfolio usually fails in one of two ways: a generic template identical to a hundred other professionals', or a custom site that never gets finished because every change needs a developer. Ventix is a portfolio and resume theme made for designers, developers, programmers, photographers, artists and freelancers who want to publish their work and maintain it themselves.
Whoever lands on your site from an email or a professional profile almost never browses all of it: they look at a couple of pieces and decide whether to write to you. What matters is that they quickly understand who you are and have a way to contact you at hand, and for that a clean design with a few well-made pages works better than a huge site.
Ventix is not a fit if:
- You need a shop: it is listed as compatible with WooCommerce, but it is a portfolio theme, not an e-commerce one. If you plan to sell, check in the demo how a product looks.
- You expect bookings, appointments or a client area: that is not what it offers.
- You don't want to work with Elementor: content editing revolves around that page builder.
Editing with Elementor and not depending on anyone
The content of each page is edited with Elementor by dragging and dropping blocks. The theme also includes a header and footer builder made with Elementor, and more than 30 custom addons for that editor.
For creating new pages it comes with flexible shortcodes. And if you need a blog, it includes its post pages, which is useful if you want to complement the portfolio with articles about how you work.
Ventix in your own image: colors, fonts and theme options
A portfolio exists to set you apart, and a theme that can't be adjusted forces you to look like everyone else. Ventix's options let you change colors and typography across the whole site to match your brand identity, without touching code.
- One-click demo import: you start from a design that is already built and adapt it, instead of starting from a blank page.
- Child theme in the package: if you are going to modify code, do it there so you don't lose your changes.
- Bootstrap base, responsive design and retina screens: built to look good on tablet and mobile.
Ventix forms and newsletter: what connects and what you provide
The theme is compatible with Contact Form 7, which is a separate plugin: you will have to install it and create your forms. Newsletter subscription integrates with Mailchimp, but you need your own account and contact list.
It is also ready to work with WPML (multilingual sites) and with Yoast SEO. Neither is included: they are plugins you add yourself if you need them. The code is compatible with the W3C validator and is SEO-oriented, but the ranking of your portfolio will depend mostly on what you publish.
Common questions before choosing Ventix
Does it work if I'm not a programmer?
Yes. The theme options and Elementor cover colors, fonts and content. You will only need code if you want to go beyond what they offer.
Can I use it just as a blog?
Yes, it includes blog pages, although its design is oriented to showing work and a resume.
Does it come with its own contact forms?
It integrates with Contact Form 7, which you must install separately.
Can I build a site in several languages?
It is compatible with WPML, but you need that plugin to manage translations.
Can I customize it without losing my changes?
Yes: it includes an empty child theme for your code modifications.
