Building a video site often means fighting a theme designed for text blogs: the player ends up buried, ads don't fit where they're needed, and every post requires copying embed code by hand. VidPro is built for the opposite case: a site where video is the content and advertising is part of the plan.

A video site lives on volume and ads

Whoever launches a video portal, whether a YouTube channel that wants its own website or a TV-style video blog, rarely competes on the quality of a single post. They compete by publishing a lot, keeping visitors browsing and earning from every page. Floating ads, in-text ads and ads above the player

Mind the balance: filling every slot with ads hurts the visitor's experience. The theme gives you the positions; deciding how many to use is up to you.

Embeds and download links with no cap per post

In each post you can add as many embed codes or iframes as you want, from different servers. The same goes for download links: they are managed from the post settings, with no limit. If you don't offer downloads, you simply don't use them.

How VidPro looks and loads

The homepage is laid out as a grid, with modules that work as a featured category and a headline carousel. It includes infinite scroll, dark mode, two related-posts blocks (by tag, category or topic), an index page to search by date or category and a polished author page. Colors can be fully changed from the customizer and there are more than 600 Google Fonts with adjustable size.

On performance, the theme uses no jQuery and no icon font (icons are SVG), and it is compatible with the official AMP plugin. It supports Facebook comments, and has fields for the Facebook pixel and the Google Analytics code.

YouTube importing and monetization are up to you

The theme comes with a companion YouTube importer plugin that creates posts from a search. It's the shortcut for publishing fast, but it doesn't replace editorial work.
