About VisualModo – Employment WordPress Theme
A job portal without listings convinces neither candidates nor companies
Designing a job board is the easy part; the hard part is making it look alive the day it opens. Candidates don't come back if they see three old listings, and companies don't post where there are no candidates. That's why the site has to show activity from the start: clear sections, visible calls to action and a homepage that explains who the portal is for.
VisualModo Employment is a theme built for job portals, career platforms, recruitment sites and human resources websites. It gives you the visual side and the blocks to build it without writing code. The listings and the candidates are yours to bring.
Employment comes with three builders and more than 150 elements to lay out the portal
The theme integrates with Elementor, WPBakery and the block editor, so you can work with the one you already know. It also includes its own elements for building pages without relying on more plugins. The most useful ones for a job portal:
- Stats counter and timeline, to present the company or the hiring process.
- Info boxes, lists and information tables, to explain requirements or benefits.
- Price boxes, if you offer plans to the companies that hire.
- Advanced carousel and sliders (Slider Revolution), to highlight listings or testimonials.
- Team element and Google Maps, to show your people and where you are.
What you should be clear about: Employment is a design theme. Letting companies register, post listings on their own or letting candidates submit a profile depends on a job board plugin that you would need to add. Check in the demo which listings are functional and which are just laid-out pages.
Contact Form 7 and WPML: reaching candidates in more than one language
The theme integrates with Contact Form 7, which manages several forms and lets you customize the content of the emails.
It also integrates with WPML to translate the site. If your portal serves candidates in several languages, that is a plus. WooCommerce is integrated too, in case you want to sell something such as training or materials.
Questions before building your job board with Employment
Can companies post listings on their own?
It is a design theme. For company registration and listing submission, you should add a job board plugin. Check in the demo what is functional before deciding.
Does it look good on mobile?
Yes, the design is responsive and adjusts to each device's resolution.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You build by dragging blocks and widgets, and the Customizer lets you adjust the look from a panel in just a few clicks.
Which builder should I use?
You can choose between Elementor, WPBakery or the block editor. Pick one and stick with it.
Pick a single builder before laying out the first page
Since the theme supports several builders, it is tempting to mix them. Mixing them usually leaves a site that is hard to maintain, with styles that clash. Decide which one you will use and build everything with it.
Start with the homepage, the listings page and the page for companies, which are the first ones visitors see. Then adjust colors and typography with the Customizer and Google Fonts, and leave the store or extra forms for last.
