A building site photo without data does not prove you did the work
Any construction company can put a flawless facade on its website. Whoever is about to commission a renovation or a building knows that, and looks at something else: what job it was, what type, how long it took, in which area. A gallery of loose photos answers none of those questions.
In construction, the portfolio is not decoration: it is the proof, and it is worth as much as the data beside each image. The difference between "how pretty" and "they have done something like mine" lies in that text.
Wilmër is a WordPress theme for construction companies with the portfolio as one of its main pieces, and with templates to tell each project separately.

How to turn your portfolio into proof
One page per job, not one gallery per year. Each project needs its own page with its own text. That page is what you can send to a client who asks whether you have done something similar.
Write the data you would ask for. Type of job, area, real timeframe and which part you did. If a client does not allow their name to be published, describe the job without naming them: "four-storey office building".
Sort by what the client does, not by what you do. Someone looking to renovate a kitchen should find kitchen renovations. The portfolio category list works for separating homes, premises or warehouses.
Show the process. A project template with a gallery also takes photos of the job half done, which show how you work.

- Install the theme and choose a single builder for the whole site.
- Gather five jobs with complete photos and data.
- Import the demo whose home page best presents those jobs.
- Create one page per job and replace the sample projects.
- Delete all the sample content you will not use.
