About Woo 365
Woo 365: the order someone types twice
An online store that sells well and an ERP that runs the warehouse and the accounts often end up joined by one person: the one who copies WooCommerce orders by hand, fixes stock at the end of the day and hunts down why a customer appears twice. Every order typed twice is lost time, and every stock mismatch is a sale of something you no longer have.
Woo 365 is a plugin that connects WooCommerce with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. It only makes sense if Business Central is already the system that really runs things: products, inventory and customers live there, and the store should be a showcase that reflects it, not a second version of reality.
Orders, stock and customers: three flows and the direction of each
The plugin focuses on three tasks, and it helps to understand which way each one goes:
- Orders, from WooCommerce to Business Central: they are imported automatically and in real time, both from registered users and from guests, and matched with the corresponding Business Central customer.
- Products and stock, from Business Central to WooCommerce: when something changes in the ERP, the store is updated in real time. The idea is to manage the catalog in one place and avoid duplicate data and human errors.
- Customers, from WooCommerce to Business Central: existing and new customers are imported, and they can be assigned to unique customers or to a general one.
That last option matters more than it seems. If you get many occasional buyers, deciding whether each one deserves their own record or falls under a generic customer keeps your ERP from filling up with records nobody will ever look at.
An integration that shouldn't be noticeable in the store
Woo 365 is a plugin with a minimal footprint that is scalable and adaptable. In practice, what you gain is real-time stock control.
This changes a habit. If your team currently edits products and quantities directly in WooCommerce, it will have to get used to doing it in Business Central. Keeping both places as a source of truth is exactly what this integration aims to avoid.
Before you start, agree with your accounting team how you want to treat guests, which general customer you will use and who is allowed to touch the catalog. These are business decisions, not technical ones, and it's better to make them before correcting hundreds of orders that have already been imported.
Should you connect WooCommerce to Business Central with Woo 365?
Yes, if you sell through WooCommerce, already work with Dynamics 365 Business Central, and someone spends hours moving data from one system to the other. No, if you don't have that ERP: Woo 365 is not a generic connector and it is not a bundle of WooCommerce extensions. It does one thing, the integration with Business Central.
The three functions described are orders, stock and customers. If you need something more specific, such as custom fields, shipping or a particular invoicing flow, check in the demo that your case is covered before building your process around it.
Does it work with an ERP other than Business Central?
No. It is built for Dynamics 365 Business Central, and you shouldn't assume compatibility with other systems.
Are orders from customers without an account imported?
Yes. Guest orders are imported just like those from registered users and matched with their corresponding customer in Business Central.
Where should I change stock?
In Business Central. Changes are reflected in WooCommerce in real time, so the sensible approach is not to maintain stock by hand in the store.
Is it worth it for a small store?
Only if you already use Business Central. If you handle few orders and have no ERP, it solves no problem you have.
