About WooCommerce Add-On For LearnPress
Built for academies that already charge through the WooCommerce checkout
Selling courses with an LMS's basic payment flow works until a student wants to pay another way, put two courses in a single order or use a coupon. Then the patchwork begins. This plugin moves the purchase of LearnPress courses to the WooCommerce cart and checkout, which already know how to do all of that.
It suits you if you use WooCommerce (or plan to) to take payments, manage orders and pull sales reports. It does not suit you if you don't want to install WooCommerce: it is an add-on, it does not work on its own and it needs LearnPress active. It also adds nothing if all your courses are free.
An add-to-cart button on every course
Once activated, each course shows the add-to-cart button and is treated as the matching WooCommerce product. The student adds it and goes through checkout just like in any online store, with no separate payment flow to explain.
Because the course behaves like a product, it plugs into the WooCommerce coupon system and order management. If a course is free and not assigned to any product, it does not go through the cart: the enroll button is shown instead.
WooCommerce gateways, from PayPal to Momo
You can take payments with any method WooCommerce supports, so you don't depend on what LearnPress ships with:
- Bank transfer and cash on delivery.
- International gateways such as PayPal and Stripe.
- Local providers such as VNPAY and Momo.
- Any other payment extension from the WooCommerce marketplace.
This matters if you sell to audiences in several countries: each student pays with what they are used to, and you manage everything from one place.
Access arrives when the order is completed
Enrollment is automatic, but tied to the order status: the student gets their courses when the order shows as completed in WooCommerce. Order data, payment status and customer information are stored centrally in WooCommerce.
In the cart, students can buy several courses at once, combine them with physical products or other services, apply coupons and handle VAT at checkout.
Subscriptions, bundles and gift vouchers
It is compatible with WooCommerce Subscriptions. If what you sell are LearnPress memberships, you also need its memberships and subscriptions add-on. Bundles, complex discounts and gift vouchers come from the WooCommerce ecosystem: this plugin gives you the cart, but the specific feature depends on the extensions you add to your store.

Can I sell a course together with a physical product?
Yes. Since it goes through the WooCommerce cart, a single order can include courses and other products.
Do I need WooCommerce installed?
Yes, and LearnPress too. It is a bridge between the two and replaces neither.
Does the student get into the course right after paying?
They get in when the order is marked as completed. If your gateway leaves orders in another status, check in the demo how it behaves before opening sales.
Can I try it before building the store?
Yes: try the user demo and the admin demo to see the whole journey, from the course button to the order.
