About WooCommerce Advanced Bulk Edit

Changing the price of 800 products, adjusting stock after an inventory count or fixing a wrongly assigned category usually means opening product after product, or wrestling with a CSV that then has to be reimported without breaking anything. In a store with a large catalog, time goes into maintenance, not selling.

A spreadsheet-style table inside WooCommerce

WooCommerce Advanced Bulk Edit shows products and variations in a table similar to a spreadsheet. You can edit a single cell or apply a change to everything selected. Modified fields are visually marked and you can revert them to their original value before saving, which acts as a safety net when you touch many products at once.

Bulk changes that really save hours

  • Prices: raise or lower by value or percentage, and generate the sale price from the regular one.
  • Texts: prepend, append or replace content in titles and descriptions.
  • Categories and attributes: assign, add or remove in bulk.
  • Copy values from one field to another and fill number series, for example for SKUs.
  • Create and delete: products, variations, categories and attribute terms. You can create variations on several products at once and, if you enable it, also delete images from the server when permanently deleting products.

Select well before editing

The risk of a bulk edit is touching what you shouldn't. That is why filtering matters: by title, category, attributes, regular and sale price, SKU, tags, descriptions, status, stock, product type, shipping class, author, and dimensions or weight. The selection manager also lets you pick products through search conditions. There is also linked editing: select several products and what you change in one is applied to all.

Custom fields and taxonomies: with limits

You can bulk edit custom taxonomies and meta fields of type text, number, checkbox and select, and the plugin helps you find the meta fields added by other plugins. But fields that store arrays or objects cannot be edited. If your store depends on complex data from another plugin, check in the demo that the field you need appears and saves.

The export is not meant for reimporting

This is the gap that surprises people most. The plugin exports to CSV, but for viewing only: that file is not designed to be imported back. If your workflow is export, work in Excel and import again, this does not fully replace it. And it is not a tool for migrating between stores.

  • The plugin solves: bulk editing in a table, filters, creation and deletion, variations, saved column views and included translations, Spanish among them.
  • You cover: reimporting data from CSV with another tool, and any field from another plugin whose data is an array or object.
  • Watch dates and files: sale start and end dates and downloadable files can only be edited directly, not in bulk.

Large stores and several languages

You can set a limit on loaded products, make variation loading optional and show only the columns you need, saving them as views to reuse. If your changes are not saved, the option to use API calls in the settings is the first one worth trying. There is a video demo of use with WPML.

Frequently asked questions

Can I undo a bulk change that is already saved?

You can only revert fields to their original value before saving. Once saved, make a backup before big changes.

Does it edit variations?

Yes, it shows them in the table and you can create them on several products at once. Loading variations is optional.

Can I use it to import products from CSV?

No. It exports to CSV for viewing only.

Is it available in Spanish?

Yes, it includes a Spanish translation, plus Bulgarian, Swedish, French, Russian and Italian.
