About WooCommerce Cart All in One
The cart that forces a page change is where sales get lost
A customer adds a product, the page reloads, they have to look for the cart button, go to another page, review quantities again and then move to a third page to pay. Every jump is a chance for them to get distracted. WooCommerce Cart All in One moves a good part of that journey into a side panel that appears without taking the buyer away from the page where they were browsing products.
The underlying idea: in an online store, the hardest part is not getting someone to want to buy, but making sure they are not lost on the way between "I'll take it" and payment.
Sidebar cart and menu cart: what each one does
The sidebar cart shows an icon in a corner of the screen with the number of products. It opens as a panel when the icon is clicked or when a product is added. Inside, the customer sees the name, image, price and quantity of each item, can change quantities, remove products, press the update button, see the subtotal and total, and apply coupons. If a coupon is not valid, the plugin shows a message with the reason. From there they can go to checkout with one click or open the cart page. You can also choose which pages it appears on and show related products at the bottom of the panel (best sellers, recently viewed or top rated).
The menu cart adds an icon with the number of items to the menus you choose. On mouse hover, a summary drops down with products, variations, images, quantities and subtotals.
Add to cart without reloading, including variable products
- Ajax add to cart: from the product page or from quick view windows, without reloading the page. You can exclude specific products.
- Variable products in listings: the button opens a window to choose variation and quantity without entering the product page. You can change the button label, for example to "select options" or whatever text you prefer.
- Checkout in the side panel: payment is made without going through the checkout page. If the customer registers, their details are saved so they do not have to enter them manually again.
When this plugin suits you and what to check before using it
It fits if your catalog is bought quickly and repeatedly (accessories, consumables, clothing with sizes) and you want to shorten the path to payment. It is less useful if you sell products that need a lot of explanation before buying: there the cart is not the bottleneck.
Does it replace the cart and checkout pages?
Not entirely. It offers a shortcut, but the cart page still exists and the panel includes a button to reach it.
Is the field for conditional tags safe?
Use it carefully. To assign the coupon popup to specific pages, the plugin accepts WordPress conditional tags and processes them with eval(), a function that allows arbitrary PHP code to run. Fill that field only with valid tags reviewed by a developer you trust, never with text of doubtful origin.
Does it work with variable products?
Yes: listings show a window to choose variations and quantity, and the menu cart shows the chosen variations.
Can I limit where the sidebar cart appears?
Yes, you can choose the pages where it is shown. Check in the demo how it behaves with your theme and payment gateways before deciding.
