About WooCommerce Product Bundles
Selling separately what people buy together costs you orders
Anyone who sells skateboards, furniture or muffins knows that many customers need several things at once, but each one lives on its own page and the customer has to remember to add them to the cart one by one. Some get tired, some forget a piece and some buy only the cheapest item. WooCommerce Product Bundles turns that combination into a single product.
The idea behind it: the catalog talks about products, but the customer thinks in solutions ("I want the complete set").
Discounts, custom boxes and assembled products with Product Bundles
One plugin covers three uses that are worth keeping apart:
- Discounted bundles: you apply a reduction to the whole set or to specific items. You can also create dynamic bulk pricing rules, so that whoever buys more pays less per unit.
- Custom boxes: the customer chooses what goes inside. You set the minimum and maximum number of items and pick from several layout options.
- Assembled products: you use several pieces of your inventory to form a product, and you can ship it assembled or unassembled.
Bundles can be physical, virtual or downloadable. You can group simple, variable or subscription products, or choose specific variations, as well as mark items as optional and let the customer decide the quantity.
Price, shipping, stock and reports: the bundle's day-to-day
What decides whether a bundle is profitable is not the discount, but how it is managed afterwards. Product Bundles lets you configure the bundle's price and shipping to suit your case. It also offers revenue analytics for the bundles sold, identifies those with insufficient stock so you can restock, and notifies you when they run out.
You can also change the look of each bundle and its items in the WooCommerce templates, with code snippets and mini-extensions. To promote them outside their own page you have shortcodes and targeted upsells. If you use Product Recommendations, you can recommend all the bundles that include a given product.
Decide whether fixed-content bundles are enough for you
Product Bundles fits mainly with bundles of static content. If what you want is a kit with several components and multiple options for each, that is a different kind of tool. Also keep this in mind: custom subscription boxes depend on WooCommerce Subscriptions and the All Products for WooCommerce Subscriptions add-on. And since it is a WooCommerce extension, you need that store up and running to use it.

Yes, but with WooCommerce Subscriptions and the All Products for WooCommerce Subscriptions add-on. Without them you don't have that feature.
Can I give a bigger discount to those who buy more?

Yes. You can bundle variable products or choose specific variations.
Is it good for kits with many components and options?
It is not its strong point. It is designed for static contents, so if your kit has several components with many options, consider a tool built for that.
