About WooCommerce Role Based Payment Shipping Method
One checkout for customers who shouldn't see the same thing
When a shop sells to individuals and to businesses, payment and shipping turn into a communication problem: the business customer asks why they can't pay by bank transfer, the individual sees options that aren't meant for them and you fix orders by hand. In B2B sales the checkout is part of the commercial agreement, and showing it the same to everyone creates emails that could be avoided.
Role Based Payment Shipping Method: different methods depending on who is buying
The plugin lets you limit, role by role, which shipping methods and which payment gateways appear at checkout. It works with the roles you already have configured in WordPress, custom ones included, so you can give a wholesaler role one set of options and regular customers another.
It also covers customers who buy as a guest, without registering: you decide which methods they see.
You create the B2B roles, the plugin only restricts them
It is a WooCommerce add-on: it needs WooCommerce active and the gateways and shipping methods already installed, because all it does is show or hide the ones that exist.
- Already solved: limiting shipping and payment by role and for guests.
- You cover it: creating the custom roles and assigning them to each customer, by hand or with another roles plugin.
- You cover it: installing and configuring the gateways and shipping rates you then want to distribute.
- You cover it: different prices per role; the plugin doesn't touch prices, only the checkout options.
If you need rules by product, country or amount, check first
The restriction revolves around the user's role. If your case also requires conditions such as cart contents or order destination, consider whether the role is enough or whether you need a conditional rules add-on. It is a specific, simple tool, not a full manager of checkout logic.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work for customers who buy without an account?
Yes. Guests have their own configuration of shipping and payment methods.
Does it create user roles?
No. It works with WordPress roles, custom ones included, which you must have created and assigned.
Does it change prices or shipping rates?
No. It only decides which methods and gateways are shown to each role.
Is it suitable for separating B2C and B2B customers?
Yes: assign a role to your business customers and limit the methods for that role and for everyone else independently.
