About WP E-Signature
Signing contracts without paying per signature or per user
Electronic signature services charge per document or per user, and at volume that bill grows quickly. They also keep your contracts on their servers, which for certain documents is exactly what a client asks about before signing.
WP E-Signature inverts both: it installs on your own WordPress, documents stay in your database, and there is no per-signature or per-user cost.
Legal validity
It complies with UETA and ESIGN, the United States electronic signature legislation, and with European GDPR requirements. It generates tamper-resistant records with an audit trail and a certificate of completion, which is what gives the signature weight if it ever has to be defended.

Automating the send
This is the part that turns it into a system rather than a loose tool. The signature request fires by itself from a Gravity Forms or WPForms submission, or from a WooCommerce purchase.
In practice: the client buys, and the contract reaches them for signing without anyone sending it. It also supports signing order and multiple signers, automatic reminders for whatever is still unsigned, and two-factor verification.
Tracking
You see in real time who has opened the document, how far the signing has got and when each thing happened. Signatures and the audit trail are stored encrypted in the database, and the PDF can sync to Dropbox automatically.
Customisation
Logo and branding on the Elite and Lifetime licences, custom email messages, custom styling for the signing page, post-signature redirect, and multi-language support.
What to know beforehand
It requires self-hosted WordPress: **it does not work on WordPress.com** or outside WordPress. And the PDF is generated on demand rather than stored permanently as a file.
