About WP-Optimize Premium

The database keeps growing while you look elsewhere

A WordPress site slows down drip by drip: drafts nobody deletes, expired transients, accumulated spam, images that no page uses anymore. None of it shows on the storefront, but it stays in the database and in the media library. The usual reaction is to compress an image when the site feels slow and forget about the basement.

WP-Optimize Premium brings together, in a single plugin, the cleaning of that basement and the speed levers you can actually notice: caching, image compression, minification and lazy loading.

Caching, WebP and scheduled clean-up: what WP-Optimize Premium does

  • Caching with preloading: it turns on with one click and preloads pages so that even the first visit doesn't have to wait for them to be generated. It adds GZIP compression, which reduces the size of pages and style sheets by up to 90%.
  • Images: it compresses to WebP automatically (up to 34% savings) and optimizes new images as you upload them.
  • Minification: it shrinks HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
  • Lazy loading and preloading of key requests: it includes both.
  • Analytics scripts: it lets you reduce the performance impact they have.
  • Database clean-up: it removes drafts, transients, spam and more, with more flexible schedules than the free version.
  • Orphaned images: it identifies them so you can delete the ones not used anywhere.

Much of it is set and forget: you schedule the clean-up once and it repeats on its own.

One site, many sites or already using UpdraftPlus

If you run a single website

This is the clearest case: you turn on caching, let new images be optimized as you upload them and schedule the clean-up.

If you maintain client websites

Each client accumulates their own clutter and their own heavy images, and rarely says anything until the site is already slow. Scheduling clean-ups on each site saves you manual checks. It's worth testing minification on each site separately, because not every theme and plugin tolerates it equally.

If you already use UpdraftPlus

Both plugins integrate, so you can run an automatic backup before optimizing. It's useful right before deleting data from the database.

Questions before installing WP-Optimize Premium

Can I delete important data by accident?

The clean-up removes items such as drafts, transients or spam, and deleting is irreversible. Make a backup before the first clean-up and check which types of data you select.

Does it help with Core Web Vitals?

It includes several tools designed to improve them: caching, minification, lazy loading and preloading of key requests. The result depends on each site, so measure before and after.

Does it compress the images I have already uploaded?

It optimizes new ones on upload and compresses to WebP. It also identifies orphaned images so you can decide whether to delete them.

Can the clean-up be automatic?

Yes, it can be scheduled, and the premium version offers more flexibility in those schedules.

It won't fix slow hosting or a heavy theme

Caching, compression and clean-up improve what you already have, but they don't replace a good server or a design that loads megabytes of resources. If the site is still slow after optimizing, the bottleneck is usually there. Don't expect a specific score in testing tools either.
