About WP Scheduled Posts Pro (SchedulePress Pro)

Scheduling posts by hand leaves gaps nobody notices until it's too late

Anyone who publishes regularly tends to end up with loose drafts, dates that clash between authors and posts that WordPress never published on time. And there is almost always a second job behind it: copying the link and spreading it across social networks once the post is live. WP Scheduled Posts Pro (rebranded as SchedulePress) brings both tasks together: planning the content calendar and promoting each post without repeating the work.

An editorial calendar where you drag dates instead of editing post by post

The core piece is the visual calendar. You see your schedule at a glance, move a post to another day by dragging it, and can create a new post directly from the calendar. It also shows undated drafts, which helps you spot what has been left unplanned.

There is also a widget for the WordPress dashboard, so your schedule is visible as soon as you log in.

What changes depending on who uses it

If you run a blog on your own

The auto scheduler lets you queue posts and have them go out at the times you choose, without keeping an eye on it. Use automatic sharing so you don't have to remember to post on every network afterwards.

If you have an editorial team or several authors

The calendar works as a shared board: everyone sees which day is taken and you avoid two posts landing on the same day by accident. Among the users the vendor quotes, some use it precisely on multi-author sites.

If your problem is that scheduled posts don't go out

WordPress sometimes skips the time of a scheduled post. The missed schedule handler detects those cases and publishes whatever was left pending.

If you manage several websites

There are plans with a single active site and others with unlimited sites, so check which one fits your portfolio.

Sharing on social networks: which ones it covers and how to customize it

When a post is published, or by scheduling the share for later, the plugin shares it automatically on these networks:

  • Twitter (X) and Facebook: with hashtags, categories used as tags and an editable message template.
  • LinkedIn and Instagram: with hashtags, categories as tags and featured image.
  • Pinterest: sent to the board you choose, with a custom banner.
  • Medium and Threads: automatic publishing with a custom banner.
  • Google Business Profile: useful if your business depends on local visibility.

Social templates let you change how the message looks when it is sent. There is also an instant sharing mode, and you can use AI-written captions in your brand tone for social networks.

It needs connected accounts and it is not a booking system

It does not manage appointments or customer bookings: it schedules blog posts. To share on each network you need your own account or profile connected to the plugin. Each network has its own rules, so test sending to one of them before relying on it across your whole strategy.

Frequently asked questions before you decide

Is it useful for more than blog posts?

It is designed to manage scheduled WordPress content, mainly posts. Check in the demo which content types you work with.

Does it distribute the posts for me?

Its auto scheduler helps organize the queue, but you decide what goes out and when.

Does it replace a social media management tool like Buffer?

A user on the vendor's site says that, together with their blog, it let them stop using services like that. If you publish only from WordPress it may be enough; if you manage many accounts outside the blog, perhaps not.

What happens if a post isn't published on time?

That is what the missed schedule handler is for: it publishes the post that WordPress left unpublished.
