About WPC Badge Management for WooCommerce
When the whole catalog shouts «sale», nobody hears it
A WooCommerce store often starts with a «Sale» label on three products and ends up with badges everywhere, each one covering the next on the photo. Someone browsing an archive page scans the thumbnails diagonally and keeps what stands out at a glance. If everything carries a stamp, no stamp informs.
WPC Badge Management for WooCommerce helps you bring order to that tiny space on the image: you decide which badge appears, on which product, in which corner, and which one wins when several overlap. It is a badge manager, not a discount tool: the label announces what is already true about the product, it does not change prices.
Rules that put each badge where it belongs
Each global badge is linked to one or more applicable objects:
- the whole store, selected products, on-sale, featured, out of stock or on backorder;
- categories, tags and brands, several at a time;
- product types: simple, variable, subscription, and also special types such as bundles, grouped or composite products;
- attributes such as color, size or age.
With the combination of conditionals you can filter by price, sale status, release date, rating or product type. One example: a «NEW» badge only for on-sale products released in the last 3 days with a minimum price. The order of conditionals does not matter and there is no cap. This feature is premium.
Three levels in WPC Badge Management for WooCommerce: store, group and product
Global badges are created in the Badges menu and stored there. If you choose None in Apply, they stay inactive and you can call them only on specific products.
Groups bundle badges by purpose (sales, stock, trust) and each group is placed in a different position on the image on the single product page, the archive and the quick view window. By setting priority between groups, the most important ones stay in sight.
In the Badges tab of each product you can use the default badges, disable them all, replace them (Overwrite) or add others before (Prepend) or after (Append). This product-level management is premium.
Also: more than 22 styles with images, shapes, colors and texts; more than 10 positions; icons from FontAwesome, Feather and Ionicons; texts with shortcodes; ordering between badges; preview on the image and from the dashboard; visibility by user role; and start and end date and time. With WPC Countdown Timer you can put a countdown in the badge, and with WPC Smart Quick View, choose its position in the popup.
Are the global rules enough or do you need the premium part?
If your case is «Sold out», «New» in a category or «Free shipping» on a brand, global badges are enough. The premium part is for combined conditionals and product-by-product exceptions. Countdowns need WPC Countdown Timer and the quick view needs WPC Smart Quick View. And be careful with safety or materials badges («100% organic», «baby safe»): the plugin only displays them, it does not verify them, so show only what you can prove.
Can I show trust badges such as free shipping or free returns?
Yes, as custom text or an icon. The plugin only displays the message; shipping and returns are configured elsewhere.
Do they appear on the listing and on the product page?
On both, and also in the quick view if you use WPC Smart Quick View.
Can I hide a badge from certain users?
Yes, by user role, and you can also schedule it by date and time.
Can I put a different badge on just one product?
Yes, but product-level management is a premium feature.
