About WPC Fly Cart for WooCommerce
A customer presses "Add to cart" and the store sends them to another page, or reloads the current one and they lose their place. Every jump is a chance for them to think twice. WPC Fly Cart for WooCommerce keeps the shopper on the page they are on and opens the cart as an overlay panel.
A purchase journey without leaving the page
Picture a clothing store with a long product listing. This is how the journey would go with WPC Fly Cart for WooCommerce:
- Step 1, add: the customer presses the button and the cart appears as an overlay, on both archives and product pages. It works with AJAX and with normal buttons. You can enable or disable the overlay effect.
- Step 2, review: they see what they have, remove an item and, if they make a mistake, undo the removal. Changes show up without a manual reload.
- Step 3, decide: they can keep shopping with a "Continue Shopping" button (which closes the cart or takes them to the page you choose) or go to the cart or checkout. It supports up to 4 buttons, and you choose their position.
- Step 4, pay: with Instant Checkout enabled, pressing Checkout shows the payment form inside the popup and the order is completed without changing page.
Coupons and cross-selling inside the cart
Two features, the coupon form and the display of cross-selling products, are only in the Premium version. The customer can enter their code or add a suggested product without going to checkout or another product page. If you don't want them, you can disable suggested products, the coupon and instant checkout separately.
A practical detail: for the popup to appear on product pages without reloading the page, you also need to install the WPC AJAX Add to Cart plugin. Without it, that part of the experience will not be as smooth.
Questions before installing it
Does it work for stores with several languages or currencies?
Yes. It is compatible with WPML, supports right-to-left (RTL) writing and handles multiple currencies.
Do I need a cart visible in the menu?
It isn't required, but you can add the Fly Cart at the end of the primary, secondary or handheld menu, so the cart is always within reach.
Can I change how it looks?
Yes. There are more than 16 bubble icon types and more than 5 predefined skins, plus unlimited colors, and a solid color, thumbnail or uploaded image background. You can also customize the heading, the buttons, the product data, the total and subtotal, and the position of the cart and the bubble.
Does it reload the cart when opening other pages?
There is an option to enable or disable automatic cart reload when opening pages.
What to adjust so it fits your store
Customization is done from the plugin settings. Before publishing, test on mobile: the bubble, the cart position and the location of the checkout button should leave room for your other elements. Check in the demo how instant checkout behaves with the payment methods you use, because a form inside a popup can fall short if your purchase process asks for many fields.
